Attention 2007 NFBC champs: We want to thank you for a job well done this season. On top of that, we want to shine the spotlight on you and your championship season. We are going to do that in several ways.
First, we want to receive images of all of you to put in our fantasy baseball magazines early next year. So that means you need to get yourself all dolled up and look nice and then send a jpg to me at [email protected]. If you want to share the spotlight with a co-manager, we'd love to have him or her pictured as well. All we need from you is to identify who is who in any picture with two people.
Sounds easy, right? It is, but that's not all. We want to profile your championship seasons as well. All we need you to do is answer the questions below and e-mail them back to me at [email protected]. Feel free to go as in-depth as you'd like about your team, your season and yourself. The more info the better. If you won more than one league title feel free to combine the answers for both.
So here are the questions. We'll begin periodically posting our championship profiles here, in our newsletter and hopefully in our magazines as well.
1. How did it feel to win your league title?
2. What were the keys to your championship season?
3. What draft day strategies worked best?
4. Were there any draft day strategies that didn't pan out?
5. How did FAAB work for you?
6. How long have you been playing fantasy baseball/fantasy sports?
7. Personal - single/married/occupation/where do you live?

2007 NFBC Champions: We Want You
1. How did it feel to win your league title?
Since I had to overcome some bad management mistakes on my part throughout the year, I initially felt lucky. But once that feeling wore off, I felt like I could take on the world (and win). 2008 can't come fast enough.
2. What were the keys to your championship season?
The key to my championship was my Roadmap and my execution of it. But, neither was flawless, and I have this offseason to correct the deficiencies.
3. What draft day strategies worked best?
Selecting the players I wanted when I wanted. I struck out on a few guys, Anthony Reyes and Stephen Drew, but I also got Shane Victorino, Jimmy Shields, and Oliver Perez before their ADPs would dictate.
4. Were there any draft day strategies that didn't pan out?
Yes, but revealing that would give folks a peek at my 2008 Roadmap, of which, I can't allow.
5. How did FAAB work for you?
{Still working on answer}
6. How long have you been playing fantasy baseball/fantasy sports?
I've been playing at a kindergarten level for almost 10 years. Before the 2007 season started, I made a committment that I would do whatever was necessary to improve my play. I decided to invest more time and to find ways of using it more effectively. So, when people ask me how long I've been playing fantasy baseball, my answer is one year, as I never gave myself an honest shot any other year.
7. Personal - single/married/occupation/where do you live?
Happily married for 11+ years.
I work as a water delivery boy.
I live in Pennsylvania.
Greg/Tom: My formal answers will come via email...just wanted to give a preview.
