We're now up to 74 returning members back from 2004 to compete in 2008 as we welcome back the Bambinos -- Karl Mische of Rogers, Minnesota -- to the NFBC this year. Karl has been with us all five years in the Windy City and he returns for the main event and the $650 Mixed Auction League. Welcome back Karl and the hat is being made right now!!

Hi guys,

Sorry I haven't been on here much, but we've been really busy here. We have had problems with our current web site so we are making a change. I am in the process of setting up an ebay store online right now. I'll have that link for you guys as soon as I can get the pics uploaded and info on there, should be in the next 48 hours. I am going to upload all the NFBC/NFFC apparel first so you can see what it looks like. We are currently working out of our house and are preparing to move back into a storefront in Belfast, Maine in the middle of March. So you can contact us at 207-525-4527 if you have any questions.

As for your hats, we are working on them right now and they look great! Greg has been emailing me with the writing you want on the sides, right now we are working on the fronts and backs. The sides will be done last so there is still a little time for last minute changes.

So if you weren't a 5 year member and want a hat or t-shirt or anything, I'll have those available for view before the weekend so check back here for the link.

And CONGRATS to all you CHARTER MEMBERS!

George Beason of Chattanooga, Tennessee becomes our 76th owner from 2004 to join us again in 2008 as he's a great original member. George has drafted and competed in the auction leagues in Las Vegas each of the last four years and he's going to give us a final destination early next week. We won't add him to the total signup list just yet, but we look forward to having him back in one of the cities on Draft Day. Welcome back George.

Philip McDonald is returning to Chicago for the main event and the $650 Mixed Auction League and that means we now have 77 original members back for a fifth straight season. That's 5+ full leagues of folks who have been with us since Day One. Pretty sweet. Welcome back Philip.

Somehow I missed Mark Yagan and Barry Fishman of Overland Park, Kansas as returning this year. Mark and Barry have been with us since 2004 as Appleton Hays and we welcome them back to the big dance in Sin City. We now have 78 returning original members, quite an accomplishment indeed. Thanks guys.

As we get to finishing the fronts and backs of the caps, I want to post what I have for the sides here.

That way we can make sure everyone got what they wanted. Unless you think it would be better me emailing you to confirm the side embroidery?

Let me know as we are finished with the fronts and are starting work on the backs. We should have all of them completely done by March 1st so you will have them in plenty of time for the drafts. Also let me know the final number of caps you have and if you want an extra or 2 just in case someone was a late add on.

We have 80 original members back now for the fifth straight year. Isn't that amazing? The latest arrival is Norm Kent of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, who will be coming to New York. I appeared on Norm's morning radio show in 2004 to promote the NFBC after Norm read about it and the next thing I know Norm has asked me to stay on the line during the break and he asked if he could compete. I said yes and he quickly signed up for an auction league, the main event and our Fantasy Sports Trade Conference. He's been with us ever since.

Norm suffered a serious accident last year and can't return to Las Vegas, but he's going to toughen it out and make it to New York. Everyone should keep Norm in their thoughts as we want everything to work out physically. Hang in their Norm and we'll guarantee a fun-filled season this year.

He's on the home page in our group picture wearing the NFBC apparel as he loved the jersey and the hat. He's a great guy and we're glad to have him back for NFBC V.

Greg, can you check this also as this is what I have from the emails you sent. The embroidery will be done exactly as you see it here as for the spelling and capitalization.

Scott Alper and Jeff Goeke were with us in 2004 when the NFBC debuted and they haven't been able to come back since. But they are joining us again in New York for the main event and we're glad to have them back. The NFBC Charter Member hats must have lured them in!!!

That's 82 teams from that first year back for 2008. Awesome.

All Charter Member hats were shipped out to Greg today as well as the Jersey's for last years winners.

I think Greg picked a good color as the Gold lettering looks sharp against the black hat.

Wow, I'm glad to add two more NFBC original members to our list for 2008 as we now have 84 owners from that first season back for a fifth season. Awesome indeed. Welcome back Aaron Seefeldt and Scott Stauffer to the NFBC main event as you guys have been with us every year since 2004. Good stuff.

Okay, who is wearing their NFBC 5-year member hat while watching baseball today?

I must apologize to all my members in Las Vegas as I wanted to take a group shot of us together with our hats on after Saturday's drafts. But of course that's always a hectic time and I forgot all about organizing the photo shoot. Bring your hats to next year's draft and I promise to do it then!!!

I promise to be better organized at the NFFC's draft this year as I'm providing hats to my five-year members there too. See ya in August!!!

Greg, I got my Braves hat on, waiting patiently for Sunday

Glad to be back, and I'd take a hat if you are still dishing them out.

The first year I was part of the AL auction in Vegas. I remember Greg needing one more to fill out the league, and I reluctantly volunteered. I'd never done a real-live draft much less an auction. What a freakin' experience it was!!!

I had no idea of how to bid or evaluate players... Still don't, but I've learned a lot of lessons from guys like Perry, Gene, Shawn, Eddie, and yes, even Brady. I was the only one who wanted him to keep giving out all of those tidbits about players!!! When we got to the end game of the auction I had no idea who anybody was. Brady saved me from last place

After all is said and done now, I'm an auction addict. I take the Main Event pretty serious, but the auction is where I go to have fun.

Bid 'em high and wide, that's my motto!
