[/QUOTE]Be sure not to draft Hafner or Sheffield -- you'll want to keep your Utility spot open for Cust.

*$200 2009 NFBC credit for 2nd place Last year Greg allowed the Magazine League owners to pay $250 each, with the top THREE teams getting a free main event entry (plus the $500 satellite credit for first place).

Maybe we can get him to accept a similar offer -- if everyone agrees to it, of course.

Whatever the case, I'm getting jazzed up for my first draft of 2008! :D

How old are your kids? Mine are teens and tweeners, so my trick is to ask them, all excited like, "Hey, Daddy is going to do a draft on-line and it will take a couple of hours. It will be hard, but fun. Want to help?"

Watch them run for the woods and you will have absolute quiet for at least 90% of your draft! ;)

I remember when I wasn't married and had my daughter at that age. Doing drafts was VERY difficult. Sitting there with her on my lap, as I was rustling through papers, marking off names, etc.

Thank goodness for wives! :D

How about that two word kiddy narcotic..."Barney Live!" :D

Hey guys, great news! Greg has generously agreed to the following offer (contingent upon all 15 owners agreeing):

For a $300 entry fee, the Top 3 owners in this league will receive FREE 2009 MAIN EVENT TEAMS. You heard that right -- $300 buys you a 1-in-5 shot at a free main event entry in 2009. The winner of the league will also get a $500 NFBC Satellite in 2009. Sweet deal!

If you're in this league, please state whether you're interested in this offer.

$300 entry, Top 3 get Free Main Event Entries

1. Glenn Schroter (King of Queens)

2. Michael Edelman (edelman24)

3. Wayne Edwards (Edwards Kings)

EDIT: COULDN'T REACH A UNANIMOUS DECISION ON THIS. NO DICE.

Lets do some math.

15 owners at $300 = $4,500

Top 3 finishers receive an entry fee worth $1300 each. 3 X $1,300 = $3,900

Add in the $500 Satellite, so that makes $4,400.

Greg is very smart business man!

Sorry guys, I'm using this January Mock as a fun way to get a jump on the season. I have no interest in placing any $$$ on this event. I'll pick another Satellite for that.

I do wish to keep my spot. This was offered as a free shot at $500. Thats all I'm interested in.

No problem, Ken. Greg did say it had to be unanimous, so I suppose that's that. As I told him, we're going to have some fun with this one regardless :D

I have to agree with Ken; I also was using this draft as a chance to prepare for NFBC with a serious draft against good competition. The chance for a $500 credit is just an added bonus.

For some reason, it never really is about the money with me, anyway. It is all about bragging rights and the ability to talk trash over the winter! ;)
