New Satellite Leagues Coming Up

Post by Tom Kessenich » Tue Feb 19, 2008 3:02 am

Hey everyone, the demand for our satellite leagues has been off the charts this week so we're going to add three more to the registration page today. Here they are:

Feb. 28th $125 Pay Top 3, 7 p.m. EST

March 8th $125 Pay Top 3 5 p.m. EST

March 8th $250 5 p.m. EST

It's possible we'll add more leagues but with these new ones and the leagues we still have with openings there are a lot of spots still available. But demand is strong so if you're interested make sure you sign up online and reserve a spot.

However, if there are some leagues and dates you'd like to see us add, let us know and we'll see if we can accommodate you. Thanks again and we hope you have fun with all of our online leagues this year.

As Tom said, we're trying to fulfill the demand without taxing ourselves too much. The key is that we want to add dates that fit your needs. We're trying to add a few drafts just before our live Draft Day, so we've added a few on Monday, March 10th and Tuesday, March 11th. We could add one on Saturday, March 8th as well.

After Draft Day, it appears that we do have a full schedule, but if you'd like to see some the week of March 19-20 we could add some there, too. Let us know what you need and we'll try to work it out with everyone. Thanks all.

Tom and Greg--

Could one of these new leagues be in auction format. It does seem from the message boards that it would likely fill. If you can't do this, please do let us "auction hounds" know so we can try to make other plans. Thanks for all you are doing.

Tom-

Thank you for adding some drafts at different times than the usual. Us west coast Dads have a hard time arranging evenings. Now if I could just convince you to have a late night--after the kids are off to sleepyland--draft, I'd be in heaven...

It doesn't look like they are available yet for web signups, so could you put me in for the

March 8th $125 Pay Top 3 5 p.m. EST

version?

Jeff We have tried to avoid the satellite auction leagues because they tend to have technical glitches too often and it takes one fulltime person just to run those. We know that folks like the format, but from an administrative point they are tough. We filled two at $250 each already and honestly it would be tough to fit another one in with each night full of other draft leagues. Maybe closer to the season we could run one at $250. We'll look at the schedule to see if anything works.

Guten Morgan Gregory and Thomas!

Any chance at trying to assemble either this year or next, a 3 league (45 player) winner takes all satellite for $500 a head?

It could attract the sharks, and wanna-be sharks!

Online draft on same night...low maintenance!

Grand prize of $18,000.00 @ 80% payback!

ONE winner!

I know it's "off model"...but it may have demand!

Would love to see you add a $125 Pay Top 3 satellite league for the week of March 19-20 or even later. The closer to opening day the better.

Honestly, it's getting tough when we look at everything. We return from the live drafts on Monday, March 17th and will enter the lineups the next two days. I guess we could squeeze something in on the 19th and 20th if needed. We'll finalize this today and add some more if the demand is there.

This thing is so big you could probably hire a seasonal part-time staffer just to help you get more satellite leagues going...

..just an idea...

..just an idea... We are looking into that now. We'll have an update on the new leagues soon as we'll hire someone to run these the week of March 17-20 and even before the live drafts while Tom and I are on the road to meet demand. We've finally seen the light and we'll ramp up personnel wise here. ;)

If possible, even a date closer to Opening Day would be very desirable.

I would join a $125 top 3 league as well if one opens up close to opening day.

Greg/Tom

Love love love the site and leagues. Checking out other pay online leagues this winter...yuck...most of them are a joke...low pay outs and rules that are just nuts. this is the cream of the crop.

I was just wondering, as a thinker I think about weird things...When you say too many leagues tax, whats the inner workings and how much time do you guys as administrators have to spend on a typical satellite pre season and during? Just curious.

Like a lot of people, if you add them, I will join! Thanks

OK - So I'm not as good as I thought I was; but at least I am consistent.
