Cantu $254

Inge $201

Jose Lopez $121

Surprised by the lack of bids for Chris Burke.....not that it was THAT surprising, but more surprising due to those receiving bids.

I was pissed when Jesse went $6 in the NL auction for him. I thought I could steal him for $3.

I'm not amazed at the amounts on the bids, I'm amazed at the number of bids some teams had to make

On an unrelated topic... :D

I'm amazed that a fu@kup closer can fail to do his job, and still get the fantasy credit that a starter who worked his ass off fails to get. (A WIN)

See Jon Rauch.

MLB still has some dumb fu@king stats.

Wait...sorry...there's no luck in baseball.

That's the group-think here, right?

Sorry.

It took skill to earn that job to fail and get the win there.

I think that some of the new owners should have ... maybe asked a few veteran player about what they think players will go for ..

Kevin Millar (1B) 77 2

Fernando Rodney (MR) 42

Edinson Volquez (SP) 311 181

Jordan Schafer (RF) 28 (WHO?)

Jacque Jones (CF) 45

Skip Schumaker (RF) 84 28

Edinson Volquez (SP) 351 228

Jorge Cantu (1B) 281

Scott Hairston (LF) 161

Tony Gwynn (CF) 161 15

These are some head scatchers from my leagues..

~Lance I was dozing when the second Braves run scored, but the box said it was a passed ball. So,is that Rauch's fault or Lo Duca?
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

[/QUOTE]It was Lo Duca's fault on the pass ball, but in fairness, Texiera (who hit the one out double and the PR scored on the pass ball) missed a homer by a couple of feet. Rauch was hit pretty hard and was lucky to have only given up one run. Being a Rauch owner, I would have preferred the save over the win. Yes, I like looking the gift-horse in the mouth.
