New FAAB Bidding System Coming On Monday

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Sun Apr 06, 2008 5:49 am

Okay, we've tested the new FAAB bidding system and it will be ready to roll out tomorrow after the Week 2 bids have been finished. We didn't want to unveil it mid-week, so we'll roll it out to start Week 3. If you have any questions about using it, post those here and I'll have STATS on standby to help us out. We tested it with a few NFBC veterans and so far the reviews have been very positive. The goal is to save you folks time with multiple leagues and to make Sunday's less time-consuming and stressful. We think we've accomplished that with this new redesign.

Anyway, good luck this week in FAAB and look for a new free agent bidding design tomorrow.

Spent most of the day working on my 8 NFBC teams, anything that helps speed the process is a help.

Did I say 8? Geeshhhhhhhhh

WOW, just took a look. Kudos on the improvements. Looks like it will decrease the amount of time by leaps and bounds(whatever that means).

Nice job guys...what took so long??

Same for the NFFC this season???

Same for the NFFC this season??? Yes, this will be done for the NFFC as well.

I'm not a programmer, so I'm not well versed in this area, but the original programming was in a totally different format than what you see now. This needed to be re-programmed this off-season to make this happen and the suggestions provided by many of our NFBC members made this happen. Kudos to STATS for doing this and hopefully this will save our owners lots of time on Sundays. That's been our goal this year and the changes we've made (including the locked 7 a.m. free agent list) should allow you more time to enjoy Sundays this summer.

Good to hear that this is going over well. I had a feeling it would. We'll implement this for football too, so load up on satellite league teams there and hit 20 NFBC teams next year!! :D

[/QUOTE]Greg if you could only convince my wife that now I have a good reason to join 20 NFBC leagues! Somehow she has this wild idea and illusion that money should limit me to only 4 NFBC leagues...Not to mention that she counts the NFBC main event as "2" leagues! So much for living in a free country...okay digressing...

glad to have the new FAAB bidding system. Thanks for staying on top of this Greg.
