Keep posting Lance, we all exaggerate what we mean after a few drinks or a bad day. Most of us know not to take your posts too harshly (nor Gekko's) when on a rant or a binge (even Childs joined the fray this week). We're grown men, no need to pussyfoot around. Save the sugarcoat for your wife/gf.

The ones that are trying to keep you down, man, are of two types... The ones that are trying to work magic behind the scenes to get an unfair advantage and the ones who play with a blind eye.

We all know what's up, and we all know how collusion is taking place. Where Greg has been worried about collusion in a single league, he let the real monster creep up behind him and it is going to bite us all. The rules are full of holes and it is just a matter of time before the pros and the wealthy exploit them (if they haven't already).

If you read Shawn's article that Walla Walla was referring to, then you know Shawn was pointing to this as a source of collusion as well. These guys that blow it and give up early can easily be bought off (Shawn didn't say that, but I did). Later in the season all you gotta do is drop an email, offer a $100 or so for them to drop somebody or change their lineup, and BAM you got an unfair advantage.

If $100K were on the line, it might even be worth a few $100 offerings. Without doing any calculations, I would say that it would only take 10 teams tanking it to skew the Main Event competition.

[/QUOTE]I doubt that...the same guy who takes the $100 would have leverage to "out" the "colluder" and demand a nice chunk of that $100,000.00 to keep quiet.

We've got one in our league that hasn't shown up in a week... They are sucking the bottom. Very last in the standings overall... I wonder if they show up today at all.

[/QUOTE]your logic is faulty. say in an extreme example you needed to pick up sb's and the team you are getting to dump is in first place is sb's. if by some miracle he could go all the way to last you would have gained ONE POINT, but so have all your competitors. he lost 389 points and everyone else gained one. it is what your team does in the overall more so then what the other guys are doing.

In my home league, one of the owners was shot - dead. The league is now the John Polish Memorial League. Hopefully, our missing owners issues aren't as serious.
