Good stuff.
Can I add that Tejada is the youngest old dude?
With Sabathia, I usually don't care much about an individual's hit percentage, but I think his is valid. His control is so horrid right now that he ends up with way too many balls in the hot zones of the various hitters. That doesn't mean DIPS doesn't work, but a prerequisite of it is that you pitch like a majopr leaguer. But also, as Hardball Times has found, pitchers have some control over hit percentage but that amount of control can still be projected by his peripherals, i.e. I didn't run it but I think that ERA is pretty close to what you'd get for a pitcher with 2.5 HR/9 and 7 BB/9 rates or whatever he is sporting right now.
On the other hand I enjoyed the write-up on him in the ESPN mag the other week. It was right after the pretty good write-up on the gangsta football player.

excellent stuff
particularly liked the Pedroia observation...man if somebody told me that guy was 35 I wouldn't doubt them!
As far as CC goes I'm in a league where the CC owner is in full panic mode, would you trade for him in hopes that he gets his sh*t together?
I'm worried that this could linger ala Andruw jones!
