Some of the stats used are as of yesterday.

To those of you e-mailing or pm'ing me for advice, a disclaimer, I rank in the 300's...Hey, never mind, that makes me an "expert"! :D

Scott Rolen is coming back soon, he has as many home runs as Troy Glaus.

Opie Taylor grown up = Chipper Jones

Why does Bob Lilly sound so much more masculine than Ted Lilly?

Not a ripple from the fantasy golf community about Tiger's knee surgery. I don't think that NBC will be co-sponsoring fantasy golf in the near future.

Barry Zito still offers a little hope while stealing his money. Matt Morris is just plain stealing.

Justin Verlander has hit six players with a pitch this year, no other pitcher has hit more than three.

Carl Crawford had one bunt for a basehit last year.

Minnesota has two players with multiple home runs and another two players with one home run. That is all for their home run production.

Ryan Zimmerman is hitting .038 with runners in scoring position. Last in the majors.

Roy Oswalt leads the majors with seven gopher balls.

Troy Tulowitzki just signed a contract with Louisville Slugger....Do the bats come with holes in them?

Take heart Tulo owners, last year at this time Tulo was hitting .193 with no home runs...sound familiar?

Last and least, Bengie Molina rocked Bill James world and scored from second on a single last Sunday.

Whats the big deal, you say? It was the first time in two years that this Molina has accomplished the feat. The third base coach said that it was the first time he could remember windmilling Molina. One of the players said he looked like Tommy LaSorda running after a pizza.

Quote from Rockwell in Vegas: "This is the stuff that only Dan Kenyon knows." Great work. I love the stuff.

I seem to remember Molina getting thrown out trying to turn a triple into a double last week so I wouldn't start counting on him for stolen bases quite yet. Great quote about the pizza.
Chance favors the prepared mind.

Great stuff. BTW, after two last night, Bret Myers has also given up 8 HR's this year. Yipee!
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

Always enjoy these fine nuggets of wisdom from the Doughboy!

Being a multi-Tulo owner May can't get here fast enough.

Had the DBacks - Giants game on (when Suns/Spurs were at commercial) and saw Benji running the bases. My girlfriend said, "That guy isn't too fast, is he"? :D I said, "No babe, he's a catcher".

The slowest catcher in baseball? Ever?
Always be closing.

The top four closers in the NL by saves are:

Isringhausen, Wilson, Lyon and Gagne.

Cliff Lee leads the majors in ERA.

Burrell and Crede lead their respective leagues in RBI.

Who needs top 10 draft picks? Just load up on unpredictable second and third tier players!

Will the whole season be topsy-turvy?

When does the cream rise to the top?

Who is the cream?

Do people still eat cream of wheat?

Why do broadcasters never say, "He really creamed that ball!" anymore?

Could there have ever been a lack of cream in Zaleski's eighth grade English class?
