AROD and TULO--Great 1st 2 picks

Taking AROD and Tulo with my 1st 2 picks-- and r. martin 3.1 what a way to start a draft. Anyone else with a horror story? The guy picking 2nd took Hanley, Berkman, and V Martinez--I should have passed or gone to bar for another Grey goose and seltzer.

Shawn had nothing to do with the plan and yes did get Hanley at #2 in his league.

Too bad this wasn't a trade league...I'd take A-rod and Tulo in a heartbeat.

Chico, Mine just as bad , Top 3 pick where Rollins, Granderson, and Jeter. All have been out hurt, for a period already this season. Then throw in Gallardo and Pedro and 5 of my top 10 pick have hit the DL or miss time.Kicking myself now for taking Rollins over Hanley, but was worried about Hanley staying healthy and playing in that weak line-up. Rollins never misses a game ,and boom he out 3 weeks now. But i'm hanging in there right behind you in 4th place in NY1 with a long way to go.

According to Rotoworld, Tulo has a torn tendon in his quad and will be out at least until the all-star break.

wow! Assuming he can make it back this year (big assumption with an injury like this), he's likely to spend a few weeks in the minors. Tulo owners need to educate yourselves on the injury this week. He may be the first 3rd rounder back in the faab pool. Amazing.

WOW...I took A-Rod in the 1st round and Tulo in the 3rd round. I thought I would struggle in my rookie year but at least figured my stars would take the field. Oh well...no regrets...it's still given me something to bridge the gap to football...and will make some starting decisions that much easier.

Big blow - Ultimate, Main, Keeper 1000 and NL 1300; all doing well offesively in spite of his .150 average, expecting a boost upon his return. :( I may be dropping him, not much space on the bench with multiple DLs already.

My condolences go out do my Uncle Dan! :(

I'll be rooting double hard for the comeback you will mount in 2008!

I hope the good breaks to come for you cancel out these bad few.

Seriously, I find myself thinking more often than not, "Boy this guy is full of himself" and sometimes worse (at least I'm honest) but you sir are nothing if not entertaining! Please keep up the good work. :D :D :D

Still wondering how educating myself on Tulo (or any players injury) is going to help. When they announce a guy is out til the All Star brk, he goes to my bench until then....what is learning about the intricacies of tendon injuries going to do for me?

Unless you think I can fix him...that'd be great, then he can back to his normal 0 - 4 line quicker!

weren't u the guy questioning my critique of delgado's swing last year. how is that turning out? ;)

as far as reading up on his injury, i'm talking about trying to determine how long he will be out. teams lie ALL THE TIME about injuries. a little due diligence can pay off sometimes. if it comes out 6 weeks from now that tulo can't run/field effectively and will be out until august/september, will you be surprised?

[/QB]Glad you brought that up...what are you doing wasting yer obvious talent as a hitting coach here playing fake baseball??? You need to get out to NYC asap and fix Delgado's swing!

Since you know so much, how's Zambrano doing?

[/QUOTE]My understanding is that the Rockies didn't release word one about Tulo's injury. The info came from his agent. And even he was pretty flexible about the timetable. They're just not sure so I don't think being out until the last couple months would qualify as a lie, exactly.

Once again, David Wright should of been #1 overall. I've preached it from day 1 and would of taken him 1 if i had the opportunity!

There was no reason to take 1 if you wanted Wright. Got it and took him. Obviously, Hanley has the most value so far, but Wright was the health conscious choice.
