Another 2/3 of an inning, gets pulled with two out in the ninth, no one on in a two run ballgame. No save.

ARRRRRGGGGGG!
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

Understood, but that is the third 2/3 of an inning outing in the last couple of weeks and it is starting to get real old! I am fast running out of time on Acosta being useful and Cox (a GREAT manager and not at all sensitive to my personal fantasy baseball needs) obviously has no confidence in him though his worst outing was predicated on some pretty bad defense. If Acosta was needing a shot in the arm confidence-wise (he has good stuff), Cox ain't providing it.

Bobby Cox was a guest on Ed Coleman's Mets'

Extra radio segment prior to one of the Mets/Braves games this week. Cox indicated that the Braves are expecting to get Rafael Soriano, John Smoltz, and Mike Gonzalez back in the next two weeks.

i think that is a straight lefty/ righty deal. if he can face all righties- he is fine. but if a left is last- no save. could work the other way- but the closers are coming and he will be pitching the 7th. cox is a great manager and fun to watch as is the whole braves team. they play the game correctly in my opinion.
