Steve Lee of Babylon, New York becomes our first official signup for the $650 entry fee NL Auction League in New York, hopefully the first of many to come. We have two other signups in the $1,250 NL Auction League, so it's possible that the interest is there to fill up a pair of auction leagues in New York this year. Steve is new to our family of high-stakes contests and we welcome him aboard. We'll do all we can to fill these in New York, Steve, so best of luck in the hunt for the $3,750 first place prize.

The New York signups are starting to come in strongly now as we're nearing a fourth full league for the main event. Our newest NFBC member comes from Valley Stream, New York as the tag team of James Hogan and Neil Caracciolo Jr. are signed up to compete in the NFBC's main event on Saturday, March 19th at the New York Hilton. James and Neil are new to our family of high-stakes events, but we welcome them with open arms. Let's give it up for the tag team of Mark Janik of Valhalla, New York and Vito Luongo, who have just signed up for the NFBC's main event at the New York Hilton on Saturday, March 19th. Mark and Vito competed in New York League 2 last year, where their JUNIOR'S Seniors team finished 6th with 95 points, finishing 51st overall. They are the 113th team from the 2004 event to sign up for the 2005 main event, a pretty good retention rate so far! We've officially filled the NL Auction League ($1,250 entry fee) in Las Vegas again as we had one opening on Monday after an owner switched to the main event. Jason Grey of Mastersball.com asked to be on the waiting list for either the AL or NL Auction Leagues in early December and he has agreed to take this spot in the NL Auction League. Jason was an auctioneer for that event last year as you may remember and now you get to knock heads with him in Las Vegas. Richard Van Fleet of La Jolla, California heard so many good things about the NFBC from NFBC veteran Doug McCready that he just had to join this year. Richard has just signed up for the NFBC's main event at the Rio Hotel & Casino on Saturday, March 19th, becoming our 88th member in Las Vegas as we close in on our sixth full league there. Let's welcome yet another new member to the growing NFBC family as Vincent Marcone of Orlando, Florida and Russ Weinstein have signed up to compete in the NFBC's main event at the Rio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas on Saturday, March 19th. We now have 11 full leagues for the main event and begin a 12th league tonight with the signup of Joseph Mullin of Staten Island, New York. Joe and his co-manager just signed up for the NFBC's main event at the New York Hilton on Saturday, March 19th, leaving us with 134 spots left. Our latest signup just came while I was typing in the last one as Brian Zirlin of Short Hills, New Jersey has agreed to compete in the NFBC's main event at the New York Hilton on Saturday, March 19th. We now have six full NFBC leagues in Las Vegas as Mike Duggan of Atlanta, Georgia became our 90th signup in Las Vegas and our 168th overall. Mike is new to our family of high-stakes events/contests and we welcome him with open arms. Mike will be flying solo on Saturday, March 19th at the Rio Hotel & Casino as he competes in the main event. Mike has also signed up for the NL Auction League ($650 entry fee) and will be competing in that debut event on Friday, March 18th starting at 9 a.m. We now have 10 teams for that event, leaving us with three open spots. The first female principal owner in the NFBC's history was Sharon Williams of Marshall, Minnesota, who led her Learning Curve team to a seventh place finish in Las Vegas League 5 last year. Sharon and her husband, Dan, finished with 91 points to finish 86th overall with Sharon admitting that she's the baseball nut in this relationship!

Sharon and Dan are returning to the NFBC's main event again in 2005, but this time they are taking the closer route and drafting live at the Embassy Suites Chicago-O'Hare on Saturday, March 19th. Welcome back, Sharon and Dan, and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

Let's give it up for Dale Tobias of Chicago, Illinois and co-manager Kevin Dukesherer of San Diego as they become our 115th returning team from 2004 to sign up for the 2005 main event. Kevin is already signed up for the NL Auction League ($1,250 entry fee) in Las Vegas and now he will be leading this team again on Saturday, March 19th at the Rio in Las Vegas. The Crazy Zefurs finished 13th in Las Vegas League 5 last year, but this duo promises a much better finish this year. The signups keep coming in for the NFBC's main event as we now have 172 spots filled with 128 spots left. Our 116th returning team from 2004 just signed up for the 2005 event as the tag team of John Hogan of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Mark Dickter will again be drafting at the New York Hilton on Saturday, March 19th. John's Philly Cheesesteaks team finished fifth in New York League 2 last year with 98 points, finishing 38th overall. Great job guys and thanks for supporting us again. Let's give it up for our 117th returning member from 2004 as William Tyrer of Beverly Hills, California has just signed up to compete in the NFBC's main event at the Rio Hotel & Casino on Saturday, March 19th. Will's Coyotes team finished 11th in Las Vegas League 2 last year with 76 points, finishing 84th overall. He also competed in our Las Vegas National Fantasy Football Championship draft in September, so he's a loyal member of the family. Their BUCKEYEBO team finished 12th in Chicago League 1 last year with 63.5 points, but they are shooting for a money finish now. Korey and Jimmy Gardner of Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania competed in Las Vegas League 2 last year and led RotoPlay.com to a 10th place finish with 77 points, finishing 72nd overall. They are returning to the main event this year at the New York Hilton on Saturday, March 19th. Let's give it up for our 120th returning member from the 2004 event as David Zwickel of New York City will be returning to the New York Hilton to compete in the NFBC's main event. David competed in New York League 1 and was happy when Artie Rastelli passed on Albert Pujols with the third pick and allowed him to get Pujols fourth overall. It looked like the start of a great day, but things went badly quickly after that as his Dynasty team finished near the bottom of NY League 1 as Artie won the $100,000 grand prize! Those things happen and David is ready to get even closer to that $100,000 grand prize this year. David has also signed up for the NL Auction League ($650 entry fee) in New York as we now have four signups for that debut league with nine spots left. Let's welcome our 121st team back from the 2004 event for the 2005 main event as Dominic Cirigliano of Columbia Station, Ohio has just signed up to compete at the Embassy Suites Chicago-O'Hare on Saturday, March 19th. Dominic competed in Chicago League 2 last year and led his Dante's Screamers to a 13th place finish with 67.5 points. Dom also competed in our high-stakes football event and has every intention of cashing out this baseball season, right Dom!!!
