Now that the last of my slow drafts is over I'm getting focused on the Online Championship. Anyone participating in this event feel like getting together for a mock draft? I hate to do them with the AI teams. Maybe we can fill one up and benefit everyone.

We now have over 190 signups for the debut NFBC Online Championship thanks to the arrival of our 2005 NFBC overall champion, Brian Oldenski of Middletown, New Jersey. Brian won $105,000 in 2005 and has grabbed a spot in the final time slot of the NFBC Online Championship on Saturday, April 4th. Welcome back CHAMP and good luck in this 12-team venture.

Rick Wilton has always beed a favorite speaker of mine for all of the Shandler Forums.

Oh, and I'll get you to do the three-pack before this is all said and done. Eight FAABs isn't much different from six FAABs.

Okay, I'm going to stay on top of this thread now as we're getting closer to 300 teams. These are going fast as some folks are taking three-packs and other NFBC veterans are grabbing a team for the dual competition. Last night we had Michael McCaffrey grab three teams to add to his main event team and NFBC vets KJ Duke and John Crane also grabbed one online team to add to their main event teams. This morning we're glad to welcome Robert MacDonald of Revere, Massachusetts to the Online Championship as he grabbed the three-pack for the last three draft dates. Thanks all and let's fill this event up.

Adam Fisher of Boulder, Colorado grabbed a three-pack for the online championship today as we are now making a serious run towards 300. Welcome aboard Adam and good luck in the hunt for the $20,000 grand prize.

If we go above 300 teams, we will use a percentage of the prize money above the league prizes to increase the overall prizes. Some will go to the first place overall and some will bolster the secondary overall prizes, but going above 300 will only help the prize pool. Thanks all.

He was a 3-time All-City selection in baseball and was named New York City Public School Player of the Year in 1991, while batting .615 with 14 homers in 22 games. Considering there are 340 teams currently, can anyone figure out the payouts if there ends up being 450 teams in the online championship?

Does the overall prize go up to $25,000+?

It would be nice to know as it might motivate more to enter with a bigger overall prize.

Based on these rules:

We are paying back 75 percent of all entry fees for league and overall prizes plus an additional 5 percent to an overall grand prize combining the overall standings of the NFBC main event and the NFBC Online Championship. League prizes are $1,300 for first place and $650 for second place. The grand prize is guaranteed at $20,000. The first 300 teams that enter are guaranteed spots in the NFBC Online Championship and any additional revenue above that total up to a maximum of 600 teams will be reimbursed under the same percentages to the overall prize pools.
