Who Is Coming To The 2005 NFBC And Where?
Jason Steeves and Michelle Steeves of Calgary, Alberta, Canada are the newest members of the growing NFBC family as they are teaming up in the Mixed Auction League ($650 entry) at the Rio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas on Friday, March 18th. Jason and his sister are new to our family of high-stakes contests and we welcome them aboard. We now have 21 signups for the Mixed Auction League in Las Vegas and need nine more to fill two leagues out there. Thanks for your trust and support, Jason and Michelle, and best of luck in the hunt for the $4,250 first place prize.

Who Is Coming To The 2005 NFBC And Where?
I didn't even realize that our next signup wasn't in the big dance yet, but I'm glad we've finally reeled him in. Let's give it up for our 141st returning member from the 2004 event to the 2005 main event as Glenn Schroter of Auburndale, New York has just signed up to compete at the New York Hilton on Saturday, March 19th. Glenn will be competing in the main event and in the NFBC Ultimate Auction League on Sunday, March 20th. Glenn has been a loyal member of our high-stakes family, having competed in two events last year for baseball and two of our high-stakes football events, finishing third overall in the National Fantasy Football Championship. His King of Queens baseball teams fell on harder times last year, finishing 10th in New York League 1 -- the league that produced our grand champion -- and eighth in the New York AL Auction League. Welcome back, Glenn, and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize, the $5,000 league prize and the $40,000 Ultimate League prize.
We now have 88 signups in New York and 252 overall. 48 SPOTS LEFT!!!

We're heading down the stretch and ready to announce a few more signups today. Let's welcome back Michael Fishman of New York City to the NFBC as he becomes our 142nd owner from 2004 to return to the main event in 2005. Michael's Ride The Puffins team finished 10th in New York League 2 last year with 72 points and finished 114th overall. Michael will now be drafting at the Rio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas this year on Saturday, March 19th, becoming our 119th owner in Las Vegas and 253rd overall. Michael will also be participating in the NFBC Ultimate Auction League in Las Vegas on Sunday, March 20th. Thanks for your trust and support again, Michael, and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize, the $5,000 league prize and the $40,000 Ultimate League prize.

Who Is Coming To The 2005 NFBC And Where?
We now have eight full NFBC leagues in Las Vegas thanks to the latest signup of Rich Sutton of Coopertino, California. Rich competed in the WCOFB last year and won a league title while finishing third overall. Now he's going to try his hand in the NFBC with his son Andrew as his co-manager. This latest signup gives us 120 owners in Las Vegas and 254 overall, one short of a 17th full league for the main event. Thanks for trusting in us, Richie, and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

Let's give it up for our 255th signup for the main event as we just filled our 17th full league! Our newest member of the growing NFBC family is Mark Down of Flint, Michigan, a serious player who admittedly owned over 20 football and baseball teams last year. Now he's ready to add one more to his list as he's coming to the Embassy Suites O'Hare-Chicago on Saturday, March 19th for the NFBC's main event. We now have 47 owners in Chicago as we attempt to fill a fourth league. Thanks for trusting and supporting us, Mark, and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

We're starting on that 18th NFBC league today thanks to the signup tonight of Jeremy Chen of San Diego, California. Jeremy is our 143rd team from 2004 to return to the 2005 event. His Follow Da Leader team finished ninth in Las Vegas League 1 last year with 86.5 points, good enough for 87th overall. He will again be drafting at the Rio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas on Saturday, March 19th as we now officially have eight full leagues in Las Vegas and 256 signups overall (one owner switched from Las Vegas to Chicago since my last post). That leaves us with 44 SPOTS LEFT!!! Thanks again for your trust and support, Jeremy, and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

Let's give it up for our newest member of the growing NFBC family, who comes on the recommendation of Mark Janek. John Paolucci of White Plains, New York has just signed up for the NFBC's main event at the New York Hilton on Saturday, March 19th, becoming our 89th owner in New York and 257th overall. We now have 43 spots left in the main event. John has heard good things about our event and he's excited to be drafting along with co-manager Peter Plati. Thanks for your trust and support, John, and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

Who Is Coming To The 2005 NFBC And Where?
We have now filled up our sixth NFBC league in New York thanks to the return of Andy Shane of Brooklyn, New York. Andy becomes our 90th team in the NFBC's main event in New York and 258th overall, leaving us with 42 spots left. Andy's Cellar Dwellers team competed in New York League 2 and finished out of the money thanks mainly to injuries to his first three picks: Nomar, Magglio and Tim Hudson. He also competed in the New York AL Auction League and finished out of the money there. He's trying to work on his schedule to make it back for the AL Auction League, but for now we're glad to have his signup for the main event. Thanks once again for your trust and support, Andy, and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize. Oh, and take a vacation day and get to the New York Hilton on Friday for an AL Auction League!

Okay, after reviewing all of our signups I noticed that I had missed one from Feb. 14th and didn't announce this signup or put him on the list. My apologies to Scott Stauffer and part of my punishment is two extra drinks for Scott at the draft!
Wow, sorry about this.
Anyway, Scott Stauffer of Duluth, Minnesota and his co-manager David O'Connor signed up for the NFBC's main event on Feb. 14th and are definitely returning for the big dance. We now have 121 signups in Las Vegas and 259 overall, leaving us with 41 spots in the main event. Scott is a loyal participant in our high-stakes events, finishing third in Las Vegas League 1 last year with 95.5 points as his Out of the Shadows team finished 49th overall. He also competed in the National Fantasy Football Championship's main event in September and our NFFC Draft Masters League in Chicago. Sorry about the delayed announcement, Scott and David, but thanks much for again supporting the NFBC and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

Let's keep the signups coming in with a few more announcements tonight. First of all, let's welcome back John Piontek of Orlando, Florida, our 146th returning member from 2004. John's Superpions team finished fourth in Chicago League 3 last year with 97 points, missing second place money by just four points. Superpions finished 62nd overall in baseball and John even flew out to Las Vegas in September to compete in our National Fantasy Football Championship. He's in the process of moving now, but we convinced him to join us again in 2005 and he will be drafting at the Embassy Suites Chicago-O'Hare on Saturday, March 19th. We had a few switches since my last post, so the official count now is 48 members in Chicago and 259 overall. Great talking with you today, John, and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize. Oh, John was the FantasyJungle.com National Champion in 2003, so he brings game with him!

We welcome our newest member to the growing NFBC family as the tag team of Henry Tang and William Shin of San Francisco, California has just signed up for the NFBC's main event at the Rio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas on Saturday, March 19th and for the NL Auction League ($650 entry fee) on Friday, March 18th. Henry and William are new to our family of high-stakes events and we welcome to the group. They are now the 121st team in Las Vegas as we begin our ninth league there and the 260th team overall, leaving us with 40 spots for the main event. Thanks for your trust and support, guys, and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.
Their entry in the NL Auction League is our 29th for Las Vegas as we have 20 guys seriously interested in a $1,250 league and nine who want a $650 league. We will continue to take signups for that Friday morning event and hopefully we can fill three NL Auction Leagues there. Thanks again guys for supporting us and we'll do all we can to fill this up. Best of luck in the hunt for the $3,750 first place prize.

I like the momentum tonight and I think I can start to see the finish line right now. In fact, I have this funny feeling that we'll finish with full leagues in all three cities. Just a hunch.
Let's give it up for another new member of the growing NFBC family as David Van Der Stuyf of Willow Springs, Illinois has just joined the NFBC's main event at the Embassy Suites Chicago-O'Hare on Saturday, March 19th. David is new to our family of high-stakes events and we welcome him with open arms. David becomes the 49th owner in Chicago and the 261st overall, leaving us with 39 spots in the main event. Welcome aboard, David, and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.
I have three more signups on my desk that I won't confirm until I get credit cards tomorrow, so don't delay. I don't want anyone getting shut out if they plan on playing in 2005.

When you have a quality product, and I believe the NFBC to be the best, then people will join! Last year it was just too new, needed to establish a base. This year the NFBC will be the best game on the 'net, high stakes or not!!!
Greg/Tom keep up the great work!

Greg,
I am currently signed up for the $650 NL auction league in Vegas but would do the $1250 league instead if that becomes available.
best, Hank C.

Yes and I'm working on that now. We have 6 or 7 guys who would do the $1,250 instead of the $650, so I'm working to fill up both. Thanks for letting me know that. We'll get it done.

Let's keep the signups coming as we head toward 300. Our latest signup is a returning member from 2004, our 147th returning member out of 195 last year (not bad!). Let's give it up for Chris Jones of Brooklyn, New York, whose Team Jones finished third in New York League 5 last year with 100 points. Team Jones also finished 47th overall and will carry that standing into this year's Lifetime Standings. Chris will be drafting at the New York Hilton on Saturday, March 19th as he becomes our 92nd team for the main event in New York and 262nd overall. Only 38 guaranteed spots left for the big dance. Thanks for your trust and support again, Chris, and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

Trust me, we're corralling a few of the last 48 holdouts. It's just a matter of time before we announce them!!! The beauty of all this, however, is that we'll have added 150+ new players for baseball this year, which is awesome. It shows there are enough die-hard fantasy baseball players out there in the country and we'll keep adding to this list each year as we grow to more and more cities.

We have several guys who are doing all four events in March and our latest one is Terry Haney, who won an NFBC league title last year and the Las Vegas National League Auction title. He was 2-for-2 and now he's trying to double his pleasure with entries in the NFBC, NL Auction League and NFBC Ultimate Auction League. He's now adding the Mixed Auction League ($650 entry fee) on Friday afternoon, giving us 22 owners in that mixed auction league. We're trying for two full leagues and hope to get there over the next three weeks. Thanks Terry and best of luck in the hunt for this $4,250 first place prize.
