Okay, I'm finally back from LABR and tomorrow I will be on the phone making sure we fill the main event up so that we can pick draft slots as early as possible. We've had only six main event signups since Friday, so we have some work to do. We're also going to need some luck to fill up a couple of cities perfectly, so nothing is guaranteed yet. But there are several owners who have shown an interest in joining the main event and now it's a matter of reaching out to them and finalizing their schedules.

Tom and I will be extremely active on the boards the next couple of days and providing updates as much as possible. Stay tuned because this could get exciting. We're close and now it's up to us to close the deal if we want to get to 390. I think we can get there.

i have alot of faith in ya greg and if only people knew what they were missing. please fencesitters jump in i promise you will not regret the experience...its a 1st class operation with the chance to win 100k, a new car, unlimited coronas and an escape from this dreadful economy. this is year 6 and i will be here till year 56....i hope...boy that would be a site!!! We're heading down the homestretch now as we have just 10 SPOTS LEFT FOR THE NFBC'S MAIN EVENT!!! We now have only TWO SPOTS LEFT IN CHICAGO as we welcome Tim Miller and Elizabeth Long of Chicago, Illinois to the event for the first time. That brings us to 380 teams for the big dance and 58 in the Windy City. AWESOME!!!

Okay, who wants one of the final spots? We're going to sell out soon, I guarantee it.

We now have only NINE SPOTS LEFT IN THE NFBC MAIN EVENT as NFBC veteran Oscar Solamillos of Phoenix, Arizona has returned to the Las Vegas main event. We now have 158 owners in Las Vegas and 381 overall. Oscar was already in the NFBC Online Championship and today he signed up for the main event as his work schedule cleared up. Welcome aboard Oscar and thanks for the last-minute signup...again!!

We now have 382 teams for the NFBC's main event as NFBC veteran Ed O'Donnell of Hopkinton, Massachusetts just couldn't bare the thought of sitting out this season. He was going to limit his participation to the main event, but this doubleheader we've created was just too good to pass on!!

Welcome aboard Ed and I PROMISE you'll have 26 weeks of enjoyment and excitement with this decision. And maybe even a big pay day at the end of the season!!

We now have ONE SPOT LEFT FOR THE MAIN EVENT IN CHICAGO as we welcome back The Hitman, Jim Mieszala of Hartford, Wisconsin. Jim is back for his third season with us and is really looking forward to another good season ahead. The Cubs' fan hopes this is the year for his main event team and his beloved Cubs. We now have six spots left for the NFBC's main event as long-time high-stakes football player Jon Stadtmueller of Little Rock, Arkansas will be joining via the phone/online league format. Jon and I have known each other for many years going back to my sports card collecting days and I've seen him at other high-stakes events, where we naturally talked about the sports card market. But he's finally come over to play in one of our contests and with any luck we'll hook him for football, too. He wanted to join us in Las Vegas for the main event and $650 AL Auction League, but he just couldn't swing it. But he's team No. 384 for the main event and that's a good start. Thanks Jon and welcome aboard.

I don't think I'm gonna be able to sleep right if I inadvertantly read again about a guy named swamp ass, talking about sweating, and doing what ever a fat man dance is supposed to be. I'll pack another case of Corona into the Flamingo pool if you need incentive. But you shouldn't.

Pack that case of Corona you're talking about and let's have cold beer at the ready all weekend long. I like that idea.

David Lin of Orange, California was going to join the main event at the last minute in Las Vegas, but the flight costs went up too much recently and he decided to jump in for one of the final spots in the phone/online league. We'll hook him up in a main event somewhere, maybe even in Las Vegas. Welcome aboard David as you're team No. 385, leaving us with FIVE OPEN SPOTS FOR THE MAIN EVENT. Wow, awesome.
