Good thing we back him up with Fields in the Childs League! LOL Oops...Fields was our CI so now we have to hope Lowrie starts at SS for the SOX or we be screwed!!! Oh well, the good owners can overcome this, right??????????? [Confused]

I believe that Josh Fields will be UT-only until Week 3.

Sorry.

We have Lowrie as a backup let's just he plays. It's not a DC either so we have free agency. Just the wrong league to be playing behind the 8-Ball...

If you are counting on Jed Lowrie to put up A-Rod numbers...Pedroia numbers...Bill Hall numbers...replacement level numbers...it is going to be a long season.

Amazing insight bjoak and thank you for that! I truly believed Lowrie was going to match ARod plus some! It's called a team getting some bad luck looking for some silver lining in the whole deal, but thanks for your enlightenment!

No one would've expected Pedroia to put up Pedroia numbers last year. I still don't believe them. [Wink]

That's because he didn't, KJ....that was all an illusion.
People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring.

My point was that Lowrie is no better than someone you can get off waivers and most likely worse than a third baseman you can get off waivers. I have no idea how he would qualify as any kind of silver lining.

As someone who owned him last year he actually had a week or maybe two where he hit .500 and had a dozen RBI's so every blind squirrel gets a nut sometimes.
