Internet In Vegas

Post by freddiezee » Fri Mar 13, 2009 2:02 am

Forgive me for asking this question....I'm sure it has been asked before but I couldn't find the answer and the league rules didn't give me the specifics I needed.

I am drafting in Vegas and will bring my laptop (yes, I will bring my own battery power). Will I be able to get online at the draft table? If so, what do I need to do to make that happen?

This question is coming from someone with a good ability to use computers but a poor ability to set them up :D !!!

I'm not a fan of laptopping as I see too many ways electrons can do stupid things like crap the bed in mid draft. Personally, I won't risk it.
People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring.

I have not had a problem with using a laptop; if it does crap the bed, I have my pen and paper as backup.

As for Internet, nope, not available as I recall in the draft room.

I would call the hotel directly. I am sure they have it. I mean, seriously, what hotel doesn't have it in their conference rooms, but I would check to be sure

If your computer has wifi i think you can buy 24 hr internet access though flamingo site for around 10 bucks, if that helps.
