Where Did The 2008 NFBC Champions Draft From?

Now that you have your draft spots for the main event, let's take a look back one year to see what the results looked like from all 15 slots. We had a total of 30 live draft leagues among the four cities last year and overall the distribution of winners was well balanced. Here's the data:

** In 2008, we had 26 main event leagues, two Super Leagues and two Ultimate Leagues. League champions came from 14 different slots, with only No. 11 not producing a league champion. Here's a look at the 30 league champs and where they drafted from:

No. 1 - 2 league champs

No. 2 - 1 league champ

No. 3 - 1 league champ

No. 4 - 2 league champs

No. 5 - 4 league champs

No. 6 - 1 league champ

No. 7 - 4 league champs

No. 8 - 5 league champs

No. 9 - 2 league champs

No. 10 - 1 league champ (Super)

No. 11 - 0 league champs

No. 12 - 2 league champs

No. 13 - 1 league champ

No. 14 - 3 league champs

No. 15 - 1 league champ

The Ultimate League champs came from No. 10 and No. 7, while the Super League champs came from No. 1 and No. 7.

I believe that Miguel Cabrera was on the most championship teams, but no one player was the dominating reason for teams winning titles in 2008.

Of the Top 25 overall finishers in just the main event, here's where those teams drafted from:

No. 1 - 0 teams

No. 2 - 1 team

No. 3 - 2 teams

No. 4 - 3 teams

No. 5 - 3 teams

No. 6 - 1 team

No. 7 - 3 teams

No. 8 - 4 teams

No. 9 - 2 teams

No. 10 - 0 teams

No. 11 - 0 teams

No. 12 - 1 team

No. 13 - 2 teams

No. 14 - 2 teams

No. 15 - 1 team

This was great, great balance last year and I trust that this year will be no different. The above data is also a reason why 3RR isn't considered for the NFBC. The 30 rounds of draft picks, 26 weeks of the season and 26 free agent deadlines is enough to determine the best team in each league. Good luck all, no matter where you draft from.

Something that might be interesting to add to this data is, what choice was that draft slot in their kds preference order.
