0 Spots Left In The NFBC Online Championship

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Wed Mar 25, 2009 8:41 am

Wow, this is going better than we ever expected. We are definitely going to finish with 600 teams for the debut NFBC Online Championship and give away a $40,000 grand prize. Someone is going to win $40,000 with a $350 entry. AWESOME!!

Okay, to hit 600 teams, we just need to sell out these last leagues on April 1st through April 4th. We are NOT going to add any more leagues because our rules state that we can have a maximum of 600 teams. You need to know your odds of winning this contest and we just can't change the rules now. Besides, we are ECSTATIC to fill up all 600 spots.

So if you want to get in this event, sign up now. Here's what's left as of this moment:

Wednesday, April 1st, 7 ET: SOLD OUT

Thursday, April 2nd, 7 ET: 3 spots left

Thursday, April 2nd, 9 ET: SOLD OUT

Friday, April 3rd, 7 ET: SOLD OUT

Friday, April 3rd, 9 ET: 9 spots left

Saturday, April 4th, noon ET: SOLD OUT

Saturday, April 4th, 4 ET: 8 spots left

That puts us at 576 teams, leaving us with 31 spots to fill up. Who wants one of the last spots?!! :D Thanks all.

So now that you guys have added another league on Friday April 3rd the rest of us drafting on that day won't know our draft spots until it fills up? I wouldn't have signed up for the last spot if it wasn't really the last spot.

We'll fill that up by Friday either way and everyone will still have a week to prepare for their draft spot. Just let us know.

Or Tim, you could switch from 9:00 PM to 7:00 PM on 3rd and then that time slot would now be full, meaning you would get your draft slot a little earlier.

Greg,

I'll take a Wed April 1, 7pm slot.

Some tough players in that slot, I can see why it's one of the last to sell-out.

I'm going to the registration page now.

We now have 46 full leagues for the NFBC Online Championship. We'll fill up these last four leagues shortly and announce the $40,000 grand prize and the rest of the payout structure for this championship soon. Obviously the overall prize pool will also increase from second through 10th overall, along with the Combined Standings prizes. We'll keep a $5,000 first place for the Combined Standings prize, but will now have $5,000 to distribute to second through 10th overall.

I'm thinking something like this:

COMBINED STANDINGS

1st: $5,000

2nd: $1,500

3rd: $1,250

4th: $750

5th: $500

6th: $400

7th: $300

8th: $200

9th: $100

10th: $100
Ok. Thanks.

I'm already in on Thurs. I just thought that with all the teams in this event (600  ), that I'd better hedge my bet and take a second team.

Should have done this earlier. It's probably gonna be hard to win this event with one team when so many good owners are going to be able to play different options from different draft slots with multiple teams.
Not a bad idea. There are fewer owners in the Combined Standings, so maybe I don't need to go down 10 spots for this one. I always like to pay as many people as possible because it keeps folks involved longer. But I sure like that three-pack idea!!!

I haven't thought about this one long enough, but I'll finalize all of this once we get to 600 teams. Then the fun starts with 50 drafts in eight days!! :D Wow.

If I’m in great , if not, I understand. Just wondering.

We're going to hit 600 teams in the next day, no doubt about it. We have 14 spots left as of this moment. Here are the spots we have left:

2 on Thursday, April 2nd at 7 ET

5 on Friday, April 3rd at 9 ET

7 on Saturday, April 4th at 4 ET

Thanks all and let's close this out and get all of the draft spots to owners by Friday. Great job all and thanks again.
Russel, you're in that league. My bad. Tom must have added you to the list while I was playing hoops. I didn't see that. Great job and thanks for jumping in. We're full now at 24, including you. I'll have Jill hit your card after all and we'll get draft spots out for that league likely tomorrow. Sorry for the confusion as we were both scrambling to stay on top of the signups as they poured in today and we just crossed paths on this one. Good luck man.
