Phoenix - The Brewers did send leftfielder Ryan Braun for an MRI on his sore right side and the good news is that no structural damage was found.

Things looking up? Back to 7th round gekko?

Things looking up? Back to 7th round gekko? no. they hide injuries. hoffman probably passed away last week and they have kept it under wraps.

seriously, if they didn't find anything wrong, that means there is no "smoking gun" as to what is causing the pain. that is actually very bad news.

hence, i believe his adp will approach the end of the tenth round for the 12team on-line champ leagues.

I found the Hoffman sentence very funny.

10th round? Out of the top 100? That's a steep drop.

I guess we'll find out how concerned people are soon enough.

Utley-coming off gimp status

Back end of the first is fraught with landmines. I guess I have to jump Howard at #8 now.

Ervin wasn't a first rounder. Ervin wasn't a 7th rounder!!

We shall see. These past few days have been trying, that is for sure. If Gomez plays by the end of the weekend and Bills makes that simulated start, I'll feel better about things.

According to the 2nd edition of the NFBC $$$ sat ADP's...Ervin was mid 5th round!

tom- if you don't want cameron- please send him back to the sox. every team he is on- the pitching improves. still a really good center fielder. besides- stiking out is what the sox do best. doesn't milwaukee have about 10 guys that every one loves in the minors that can't play the field? bring them all up. move everyone to a new position- throw bush out there and watch the fun! I agree he's a good defensive outfielder, but I don't think that skill is enough to offset his low average, high strikeout rate and $10 million salary.
C'mon Tommy! One hit in every 20 AB is all that separates a .250 and .300 avg. Cameron still fills the boxscore, and has solid stats for the games he plays at years end. Add that to his defense, and he's a great baseball player. Were talking real baseball here for a second, are we not?
Yup and having watched the Brewers last season, I can say without hesitation that while Cameron's defense was good, it didn't offset his poor average and strikeouts - a number of which came in clutch situations.

Prey tell if Braun missed game action would Gamel tarry with the club?

send him to the sox!!!!. think about it- we had swisher out there last year. what did he hit- .210? i know cameron is way better than swisher in the outfield. we will send back some minor league guys that hit in the "clutch" but can't play the position they were drafted for- should fit right in. sometimes i think the brewers forget they are back in nl.

no gamel would not- you have to fail at the position you get drafted for. he needs to commit 60 errors at 3rd 1st.

Braun was hit in the thumb by a liner tonight and had to leave the game. Is he cursed this year or what? Braun owners say a prayer....

Here is what Macha told FSN Wisconsin:

"A line drive got in the lights and hit him on the thumb. They're taking him to get some x-rays on the thumb. He wasn't feeling real good about (going for x-rays). We've got our fingers crossed."

This crying over tiny injuries seems to be working!

I think I'll do the same and bog down the MB with tiny overblown injuries to my players during the regular season!

Seems to work!

I encourage all other posters to do the same.

We can have over 100 posts per day with the moaning and groaning over tiny injuries to our players.

~Lance I will add my own mantra:

"No anal fissures"

Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

Definition of fissure-

Groove, natural division, deep furrow, cleft or tear.

Modern definition- Tore a new one.
On my tombstone-
Wait! I never had the perfect draft!
