Does this hurt the value of Daniel Murphy?

Yes, it definitely take AB's away and if you drafted Murphy you need all the AB's he can get. You bring in a proven veteran which Manual prefers and Sheff gets 200-300 AB's. Some of those are Murphy's. Downgrade any projection on him by 30-35% if this happens.

If this pans out, I am sure that Ryan Church will be impacted the most and Murphy can lose ABs. I am curious whether I should upgrade or downgrade anyone else in the lineup.

Would this mean gekko's love affair with Ryan Church is coming to an end? :D
Thanks.

I need the season to start soon though. My draft season is over, there's a storm outside, and chiding local Bronco fans about seeing Kyle Orton instead of Jay Cutler is losing its luster..

I do like reminding them that it was like the Elway trade only in reverse and that Cutler is only 25 and that he could have been the qb for the next 10 years and that maybe it all doesen't matter cuz Brandon Marshall is having hip surgery.

Oh heck, maybe a short trip to the local barber shop to remind them of the decision to fire Shanahan that started this whole thing will be fun. I feel better now. Thanks! :D

The Broncos have become the Raiders.

Doormat. I like trying to think of headlines for the next days papers. For the Denver Post, I would have liked this one:

BRONCOS KO'ED !

I don't think Kyle Orton would have found it amusing though.

SI.com's Jon Heyman says Sheffield agreed to sign with the Mets. An announcement is expected this afternoon.

Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

I think this hurts Johan more! Imagine Sheffield in the Outfield trying to run down fly balls. I already see a few games where guys are mad cause sheff cant come up with the catch and runs score.
Thanks for the signature Dan. I sure wish I had those 100 Corona's back from Las Vegas!! :D Actually I felt every one of them this week on the basketball court as I seemed a step slow for some reason. ;) Even the jumper came up a bit short this week. But that could be a result of all of these late night online drafts.

Please update the signature next week to:

Think nothing of it, Greg. Whatever they're paying you, you have earned it.

Enjoy next week.
