Sheesh Dyv, one more time. I'm sure you can figure out all by yourself I am aware of how free agency worked last year. Stay with me now, the term blind bidding has zero to do with how Greg chose to handle what happened after the deadline. I was merely educating those of you who wanted to "keep it blind." The blind bidding aspect was not what Greg asked for input on. Of course it's gonna stay blind. Now, please don't embarrass yourself again with some nonsensical drivel. You got this one wrong. I'm sure you can find some other thread to validate your self worth, err, advertise your roto results.

Hey King he wouldnt miss this for all the tea in China. BAD SHAD my better half from the BAD ASS ANGEL'S cant wait. The entire weekend is such a blast , to be able to meet so many people who are just like us , is insane. Were probably bringing about 3 more teams, we need to represent little RHODE ISLAND. The TUNA KINGS are from R.I. , But we havnt run in to them.We heard the KING did some damage in the NFFC, great job.Being number 3 out of a couple hundred very impressive.

Football more than made up for my fade in baseball. Hard to believe that I was a Top 10 baseball team for awhile, but the injuries crushed me. Having the overall winner in the same league didn't help either--as you know first hand as well.
Looks like we'll be in at least one league together (Ultimate Auction). Should be a great weekend--let's get a gathering together with Gordon, Jersey Paul and some others on Friday night. Details to follow...

KOQ, wait until you see ol' Eddie and Bad Shad pictured in the next issue of Fantasy Sports Magazine. They get their due for kickin' some butt in the New York AL Auction League last year. Photos of Artie Rastelli and our auction league champions in a nice NFBC ad hitting newsstands soon. I know Eddie, you're dying to see it!

Greg, the Bad Asses were easily one of the highlights of the New York scene last year. I had the pleasure of being in the NY Auction League AND New York 1 (Artie's league) with Eddie and Shad for last year's baseball events, and we sat within 25 feet of each other for football (me in NY1, they in NY2).
If anyone is looking to compete against the best, try to get into a league with this team.

I'm pretty proud of winning two leagues last year. Should I hide it and be ashamed? Please let me bow and scrape if my fleeting success has bothered you in some fashion.
Believe me, I do my best to focus my life on appeasing idiots and I don't know how I've missed you in the past

Since this all started from my original post about it not being blind if the bids were known, IT WAS JUST A PLAY ON WORDS, of course everyone knows that's not what is meant by blind auction. I was attempting to interject some humor but it apparently went over some heads. I'll type more slowly next time and put in the little smiley faces where appropriate.

If my option isn't possible, then I vote just to see the winning bid. I'm with Viper 100% on this. Why would you want other teams to see what positions you're trying to upgrade at?

Since this discussion has slowed down recently, let me summarize a bit and ask for one last discussion here:
1) I understand the desire for some owners to know more about the FAAB bids. Just knowing the winning bids isn't enough for some owners.
2) I also understand that some owners don't want to give away all of their strategies when trying to pick up free agents. Having people know you made six bids on middle infielders might be giving away a strategy of yours.
So I propose that we compromise and make a less drastic move for Year Two:
I propose that we show the runner-up bids for each player without revealing the owner's name. The Sunday night FAAB listings will show: David Krynzel, $31, Greg Ambrosius; runnerup bid, $21.
Thoughts?

I know I haven't been a part of the string, but for my two-cents worth, I would be ok with what you propose, Greg.
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

I say if MLB Owners see other teams bids for free agents then so should we....if not then not.

It reduces the slight advantage returning players may have had having experienced a season of blind bidding, but I'm obviously in the minority with that opinion and won't object to this latest compromise.
