Live Stats:

10. DIRT BAGS 1.386 5.5 +0.5

11. Fanball.com: Houston/Flowers 1.386 5.5 -0.5

DIRT BAGS 188/135 2/3 = 1.3857493

Fanball.com 177/127 2/3 = 1.3864229

LIVE STATS problem from last year is still not correct.

These teams are NOT TIED.

I don't think the percentage owned and active is correct either. If there are 390 teams and 26 leagues, how can the percentage owned for Brandon Wood be 97.1 and percentage active be 2.9? If a player was owned in 25 of 26 leagues, that percantage would be 96.15. If he were active in 1 of 26 leagues, that percentage would be 3.84?

Greg or Tom, has then been addressed with STAT already?

I've always had my doubts about the accuracy of that stat as well.

They should be very selective, and only include the main event leagues in the main event...and if desired...open it up the the main event PLUS whatever other leagues in THOSE leagues...but not include any other leagues in the main event...since that is what it appears to be claiming.

Many issues to fine tune.

Greg or Tom, has then been addressed with STAT already? There are always more in the "%Owned" and "%Started" calculation including the Ultimate Drafts and Super Drafts I think. It does appear that STATS is using 34 total leagues, so I am not sure which ones. Were there eight Ultimate and Super Drafts?
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

They took the "live/scores" link down right after the season ended last year and restored it on Opening Day.

From my Main "live" at this very moment with no games played yet today..

5. Diamond Studs .2817 10.5 -0.5

6. Feng Shui .2817 10.5 +0.5

12. Wise Guy Baseball .2602 3.5 +0.5

13. Fanball.com: Houston/Flowers .2602 3.5 -0.5

9. Team Bonaminio 1.397 6.5 -0.5

10. DIRT BAGS 1.397 6.5 +0.5

There are 8 of these in my four leagues, which is common for any day of the season.

I've talked to six different programmers in the past year about this and they all laugh about how easy a fix this would be.

I fired Stats Inc as my stats provider (I was one of their first fantasy customers) this year because they didn't answer any of my three emails on this subject last year.

20-30% of us find huge enjoyment in watching the live stats nightly and now I'm totally indifferent to them and that really sucks because 2-6 teams at any moment, in any league are wrong at any given time.

They should be 5 digits or 6 deep.

They need not be shown on the main screens...but they should be used as tie breakers.

I will say that the platform used at the NFBC is pretty clunky. There are some good things but there are also a lot of problems and opportunities for improvement. We see the end result and I'm not too impressed with all of the errors and problems the reoccur every year. I can't imagine how this must frustrate Greg. I'm sure he has to pay a pretty penny for each hour STATS works on the site and with all of the problems it's bound to be expensive. The grass isn't always greener on the other side, but are there any other options? Would it be possible to work out a deal with Yahoo, ESPN or Sportsline since they already have a functioning fantasy platform?

John creates a headline for this thread that says live stats are still wrong. They aren't wrong. They just aren't computed out to five or six spots for the three different categories that could go out that far for his liking on live stats. And from that came his headline which now brings on this request to change from STATS to Yahoo. Sheesh.

John, all of your e-mails to STATS yesterday worked as Mike is now looking into getting this done. He doesn't have a timetable on it because I do have a few projects in front of him and I trust this is something you're more concerned about later in the year than now. But he saw this post, is working with Brian and the others there to determine how long this will take and we'll likely have this done soon enough. Probably not soon enough to see more posts asking the NFBC to switch from STATS to Yahoo, but soon enough.

And no, I'm not disappointed by our platform. I do like it and I think it works fine. We all get used to certain commissioner products and then compare those with new ones, but I think we have a nice setup here and we continue to tweak it with corrections or additions thanks to friendly threads like this one. Thanks all.

Greg, any word on when the Player Ratings will include AVG, ERA, and WHIP?

For the record, I did not voluntarily send Stats Inc. any e-mails on this subject.

My rep had always has done an outstanding job for me and I owed him an explanation as to why I canceled this year and chose another company on a new project. I was late in doing this due to my recent nose cancer surgeries.

Unfortunately, this lack of response issue was part of those decisions, especially with the $$ involved on the new project.

When my rep replied to my e-mail with this, "I discussed the NFBC issue with Mike and he does not have any record of receiving any correspondence directly from you."

I then FWD'ed two of the three e-mails I sent to Mike last year that he did not respond to.

I guess you were contacted after that.

Glad this is going to get fixed finally. Very sad to see that it took this to get a response.

Also want to make it clear that this is not Greg's fault at all, he sent this request in as he does with all others on the MB that help the game last year.

Stats has done a great job of improving the site this year. Love the NFBC and look forward to getting my live stats fix again.

My apologies for saying "live stats". I should have said "live standings".
