AlErT Milledge_Report!!

I live in the DC area and have heard indications that the Nationals are prepared to let milledge rot (my choice word) in the minors for most of the year, if not the WHOLE year. He has already been moved out of the leadoff role and is a dismal slump, in which, he is showing absolutley no power.

A good deal of it stems from his attitude and his recent public comments about the National's coaches. He says he has lost faith in the organization's coaching staff...

"From now on, I'm going to do what I feel like I have to do to be the best for the team, regardless of what other people say," Milledge said. "When it's all said and done, I know myself better than anyone else."

Bad, bad situation for Milledge owners. I've already cut Gomez (will be in minors b4 May is over) and Milledge is this week.

So much for having a good draft...

I cut this loser the week he was demoted. Wish I hadn't wasted a pick on him. Gotta cut bait with this guy.

Tonight's Syracuse game log:

Syracuse Top 1st

Corey Patterson strikes out swinging.

Lastings Milledge called out on strikes.

Syracuse Chiefs center fielder Lastings Milledge ejected by HP umpire R. J. Thompson.

Kory Casto called out on strikes.

Looks like Lastings isn't listening to the umps, either...

I think it's obvious Glenn. Like his coaches, the umps just don't know "Sledge" like he does!

I may need to pick up whoever this pitcher is!

Another guy with a J in his first name initials (RJ is a hardass)

Who was striking out these AAAA players?

Tough packaging Milledge. Physically, he can be a monster roto player, emotionally, he's not even potty trained.

seriously, a lot of these youngsters are given life on a silver platter. they are making millions of dollars a year b4 they turn 25. it's not a stretch to think a decent portion of them are running into trouble.

bIg money eventually leads to problems. you always here about big lottery winners having problems within a year or two of winning the jackpot.

bu bye!

Lastings Milledge suffered a broken finger while playing Monday at Triple-A.

Milledge broke the finger while attempting to bunt in the first inning against Indianapolis. It's another setback for the talented outfielder. Milledge was the Nationals' center fielder and leadoff hitter to begin this season before being demoted to the minors in mid April.
