Was Greg Maddux the only one NOT to use steroids during the '80s and '90s? Please tell me Griffey Jr. and Ripken weren't using. I'm running out of players to actually believe in.

This is bad for baseball. I feel for Dodger fans, who really got into Manny and his fun-loving playing style since he got to L.A. I feel bad for collectors who invested in his memorabilia and apparel. I feel bad for fantasy owners, who invested in his services, only to get whacked with this shocker.

Most of all, I feel bad for baseball. What shame the players and owners have brought to America's Pastime. Now it's impossible to believe any accomplishment on the diamond is legit.

Kids, wake up they were all (anyone with any success) pretty much on the juice. Or the clear or the cream or uppers, downers, blues, greenies.

Let me put it in a way you may understand better. If you could drink orange crush soda, yeah its bad for you (too much sugar, no nutritional value) and be better at predicting what players where going to have a good week, month or year you might do it. If at the draft 9-10 of your competitors were drinking it you'd really think about it. And after four weeks when you are in 13th place you'd order your orange soda and drink it like the rest of the league...or you'd quit the league or run out of money losing year after year. Or some younger sharper orange crush drinking MFer would take your spot cause you weren't good enough!

Once in a while a guy would come along and win their league without orange crush (see Greg Maddux) but overall you wouldn't see much of that.

They are cheaters! Don't be surprised at this!

If you think Pujols body is natural good for you.

Oh, by the way when you see Santa put in a good word for me! Tell the tooth fairy I'm sorry my boy always has Lego's on the floor and tell the Easter Bunny if he keeps leaving his droppings behind we are gonna roast him on the grill next Easter!!!

Why, because Pujols looks like a nice guy with great talent? Or he looks like he doesn't need any help? Well, so did Manny to all of us until today...

Ken Griffey Jr is the best pure hitter of the 90's hands down! It's amazing how he has been forgotten but the Kid is one of the greatest hitters of all time and not once has ever been mentioned in the same sentence as steroids.

My favorite player hands down! Actually, Griffey has been mentioned in the same sentence as steroids because of Griffey's phenomenal, almost incomprehensible fragility. I'm convinced Griffey was a juicer at some point, but I have no proof and I could be wrong.

Does this warrant keeping Manny Ramirez out of the Hall of Fame? It should certainly delay his entry.

Will baseball have to build a new wing--Hall of Infamy--for the dozens of other players who fall into the PED category?

If i was a GM and i was gonna sign player to my team along with the standard physical i would now have the player also take a drug test just like every other regular joe that trys to get a job!!

I'm drafting Hank Aaron & Yaz next year.

My teams probably wouldn't do any worse, but they'd be clean. :D

Don't be a dumb ass. Most to all players are on some form of strength enhancing substance. I wish everyone would understand this.

Yes it does make you better. Would it make Greg Ambrosius better, only in a father and son game. Will it make a professional better, Absolutely!

I wonder if Manny can give the name of his source to Arroyo. He certainly needs the help.

From here on out I am going to look for guys that look like Kirby Puckett or Tony Gwynn. With their body-syles, no way they juiced.

It is gotten to the point that if you saw a headline reporting "Mystar Player Suspended" and the article read he had his drivers license suspended because he was out of his mind drunk driving in a car while reading "Mien Kampf" to a male hooker, Osama Bin Laden, and Bernie Madoff, you would be relieved.
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

Too much money being made. I wish i juiced in high school so i could of gone to a D1 school to play ball then maybe been able to sign with a pro team.

When people are getting millions of dollars to play this sport the purity has been stripped and no one cares about the HOF and history. It's just too much money and most would do anything to achieve the worlds best job and fame and power.

For all players on the cusp of being a pro...you have the chemical edge of your choosing right there. Hmmm...take drug and make millions and set my family up for life and generations playing a game I love...or don't take drug, and go work in a factory till I'm 65, barely making ends meet, and MAYBE passing a house on to my kids when I die?

Easy call.

That then snowballs into the established pros seeing Joe Blow get better, and they need to keep up with that guy, or stay ahead of that guy.

Ugly.

Unfair to Pujols to drag his name into it.

I'm surprised to see Manny taking the excuse route. For it to have any credence, he'll have to provide the 'innocent' drug and documentation.
