Just a followup to the Drew pickup: The runner-up bid was $379. LV8 is a VERY competitive league with 13 veteran NFBC owners in the league. I'm sure this will be a fight to the last day of the season.

Correction: I'd rather have Ortiz have the stones, so then:

1. at least he'd be DL'd and I would be forced to bench his sorry petunia hitting butt instead of riding out another 2 for 24 week.

and,

2. Doughie wouldn't be hurting.

Why am I smiling? I didn't bid on any of those players.

Do you think any owner would roster any of these players before they were called up?

I'm in three leagues with a open player pool and none of these players were owned before this week.

Choate was a waste of money for whoever picked him up. The Twins are probably the only team in the league that bats three lefties in a row. Choate's over/under on saves the rest of the way 1 1/2. He is a situational lefty that just happen to get a chance in the ninth inning this week.

Fox has no job or position. He was having a great AAA season and might have some value in the AL as a DH or an injury at first in Chicago.

Martinez has some talent, but he most likely isn't ready to be an asset in a 15 team league week in and week out.

Why don't you tell me how much those players over bid?

These player's price wouldn't change in either system because they aren't impact players.

You know, that positions alway seem to miraculously open up.

Sheff was already seeing ABs before the Delgado injury and once Delgado got hurt, he had an every day job as an OF with Murphy moving to 1b.

Thanks for reminding me of our overbid for ricky.

We really wanted him but a stupid overbid on me and my co-manager's part. I've been playing for 3 years and still overbid greatly on some players. Part of that is our "go for it" mentality and sometimes it hurts us in the long run. So, yes I regret overbidding by that much but won't dwell on it because I'm happy we got nolasco.

Also went for L Scott- went for him to make up for Ortiz' power outage.

You're the only name I'm familar with in our league and I've noticed you slowly rising in the standings. Good luck the rest of the way.

My team might be a Ricky Nolasco look-a-like away from contending!
