Why is stats not showing John Maine on the DL so lineup changes can be made?

It was announced the Mets are putting him on the DL after Thursday night's game, which is before the midnight deadline, but there are formal paperwork procedures that no doubt did not take place until until sometime Friday morning, post-deadline.
