Jake Peavy may be out for as long as 12 weeks, according to Padres trainer Todd Hutcheson.
An MRI revealed longitudinal tearing in the posterior tibialis tendon in his right ankle. Translation: it isn't good. He will be wearing a cast for at least a month and the medical staff will then re-evaluate the ankle at that time.
Guess his trade value just went down the shitter!! Time for teams to focus on Brad Penny with Peavy out of the equation.

Another big name goes down and this one will hurt fantasy pitching staff's.I never would pay the price for a pitcher this high in the draft.Im still waiting on Liriano and Nolasco, scary.

Bonderman AND Peavy on the DL. How the mighty and great have fallen.
BTW, the smile is not making fun of you who had Peavey as your ace. I am sorry because this sucks for your team. I was poking fun at myself for having such high hopes for Bonderman.

Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.
