The stats used are as of yesterday, life happened before posting...

The Nats have 43 wins, the Yankees have 41 home wins...

The Rangers have given up the least amount of runs in the A.L....That's a little like Lance leading the NFBC in sobriety...

Speaking of oddities in hitters parks, The Reds, who also play in a hitters park have the second lowest amount of runs in the N.L., while the Padres who play in THE pitching park has given up the second most runs (Washington) in the N.L...

The Cubs, respecting their forefathers have the least amount of wins at night....Has any team looked worse than the Cubs and still be called a "contender"?....

Randy Wolf has 26 starts, more than any pitcher in baseball....

Ted Lilly has not hit one batter this year...Strange that OBP leagues do not count hit batters as part of WHIP....

Joe Mauer and Dustin Pedroia each have 136 hits, Pedroia has 103 more at bats....

Elijah Dukes has been caught stealing eight times, he has two stolen bases...

Aaron Hill has more home runs and rbi than first rounders Ryan Braun, Miguel Cabrera, and Josh Hamilton...

In fact 10 players with eligibility at first base have more homers and rbi than Cabrera....

Carlos Pena has 31 home runs....and 31 singles....

Russell Martin's slugging percentage is .318. Three home runs, 13 doubles, and 83 singles...

First rounders Grady Sizemore, Jose Reyes, Ryan Braun, and Albert Pujols all have 11 stolen bases....

Chris Davis is still in the top ten of major league hitters in strike outs....

Albert Pujols has 70 extra base hits, Josh Hamilton has 70 hits...

Cliff Lee has given up more hits than any other pitcher in baseball....

Only three players with more than 100 k's are batting over .300. David Wright, Justin Upton, and Matt Kemp....

Nine of the 21 starters with the best ERA have first names that start with the letter J....

Craig Counsell is 39, Brett Favre is 39. Yet, I get the feeling that Counsell can play a college kid named Skippy, while Favre practices lines like "GET OFF MY LAWN!!"

In an effort to get into the Guiness Book of World Records for most people involved in an awkward moment, the A's will follow through on their Giambi bobblehead give-away tomorrow night.

And so it goes. The saga of Dan Haren and his 2nd half declines and Adam LaRoche and his 2nd half studliness continues.

Crazy how it happens every year.
