Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

That $150 fee then gets passed onto us along with a 28.5-30.5% service charge/gratuity and tax charge. The prices of hosting live events right now is higher than it's ever been since I started doing this more than a decade ago. And it's why we've either decided to dive in all the way or abandon it altogether. I think folks see that we're still VERY committed to the live events.
That being said, Events Fees will be part of our events in some cities and not at all in others. We will discuss all of this very, very soon. But when you ask someone to pay an Events Fee, you need to give them value for it. We will show you exactly what you are getting in each city just like we did here with Chicago and you can make the decisions for yourself. There will be no surprises on Draft Day; you'll know what you'll be getting long before you sign up for each particular city.
And like I said, if last year's draft was good enough for you and you don't want the added amenities or the unique experience of doing it somewhere like Wrigleyville or the Bellagio or our unique New York location, then no worries. That option is there too this year.
It will all work out, but first allow us to showcase each city, what you're getting for your participation and let the consumer decide. In the end, the consumer is still king (or queen).
