Is it possible to see NFBC teams that were drafted last year?

Post by Philly Phantom » Tue Jan 05, 2010 3:30 am

I'm just curious if anyone has a suggestion for a place to go to see what some of the drafters did last year in NFBC? I've been able to find a draft or two by following some blogs but I'm wondering if there is a larger database that I just don't know about. I understand that the draft is obviously only a part of the equation but I'm trying to compile a list of general strategies that have been used in the past (some which might work with the current player pool for 2010 and some that will probably be proven ineffective). Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
Looking forward to my first NFBC season in 2010.

Thanks! For the players that played last year, they can look at every draft in the NFBC. I'm not sure how a new player can see it without having a team, but the in formation is out there.

Thank you very much for the response. This will be my first time in the NFBC and I'm looking to do a few satellites. I wonder if I sign up for it this year if I would then have access to previous years data (I'm kinda thinking not)? I was just trying research and find viable strategies. Thanks again for your time.

There's no way the league will be loaded so you won't find it that way.

Thanks! The ADPs from all 26 main event leagues are listed on the NFBC home page under the NFBC Resources link in the top green header. Here is the direct link:

http://nfbc.fanball.com/resources/avera ... ?year=2009

There is plenty of past history under the NFBC Resources link, so dive in. Good luck and if you need the 12-team NFBC Online Championship ADP in Excel, let me know. I have that too.

As Shawn said, past members do have access to every league and every draft on their game site. You'll have the same access to 2010's drafts this year when leagues are loaded. Good luck and welcome aboard.

bill I have one good set of values in Excel from an NFBC Mixed Auction League if you want it. Just email me at [email protected]. I do not have auction values in Excel for any other format, but this one is good.
Greg, how can I access leagues and teams from 2009, please? Since the website changed, I have been unable to access anything beyond last year's overall standings. I guess I don't know how?
All of that is being loaded now. We just got the final group of data from STATS today and will be loading everyone's MY TEAMS pages now. It will take a few days, but we're recreating your MY TEAMS pages now and loading in all of the data. It's data from 2004-2009, so give us a little time.

Thanks. I promise to send an email update as soon as we have this done.

You can look at your teams through a back door. Go to www.fantasyfootballchampionship.com and enter your username and password there. That will take you to your baseball links. Sound good?

We are getting all of the historical data into the new NFBC site now and hopefully in the next week we'll have all of your team links back on your MY TEAMS page and available to enter through the NFBC site. STATS just finished dumping that data to us on Friday, so that's why you can't see it now on the new site. Give us a little more time and soon you'll have access to last year's site.

For now, go to www.fantasyfootballchampionship.com, enter your username and password and you should be able to see your NFBC teams there. Good luck.

Okay, I do have a more definitive update on all of this today. I'm actually in St. Louis now and just received a nice preview of your team pages for 2010. And I will say right now, emphatically, YOU ARE GOING TO LIKE THIS!!

First thing next week we'll unveil the first part of our back-end support system for the 2010 NFBC. You'll get access to your MY TEAMS page first thing next week with all of your historical data from past seasons. We are still loading all of this historical data in from STATS and that should finally be complete by the end of the week. Trust me, with six years of historical data for 26 scoring periods for hundreds of leagues there is a TON of data to load and it takes time.

You're going to like the look of the new MY TEAMS pages and you're going to like the functionality of it. I guarantee you'll see a difference right away. There are separate pulldowns for the NFBC, NFFC and even NFBBC there so that you won't have 20+ leagues all located in one spot. This is something that should have been done YEARS AGO and wasn't done. That upgrade alone will be nice for several owners who do many, many leagues with us.

The MY SETTINGS area is broken out nicely so that owners can easily find the links that allow you to put logos on your teams, or avatars or change your team name, etc. I really like what Cory, John, Kevin and Carlos did there. The roster grid is another really neat feature that has the listings like STATS had it, but it also has a more graphically appealing look if you want it with a diamond background, easy clicks to each team in your league, players located by their positions on the field background, etc. Much, much better look and functionality to it.

Every NFBC owner will also get access to Owner's Edge from Fanball and our player notes will include insight from OE right on your team pages. The notes in your league will specifically identify players on your teams and feature those notes and overall notes for all players. This will be under News Breakers and include links for My Players and All Players. Again, a much needed upgrade from before.

You are really going to like the sortability in the league standings page and then within those standings for how you rank in the overall standings. These upgrades not only look better and work better, they will help you better prepare your team for categories you need to improve in because those standings are just a click away.

There's a lot of functionality here that will save you a click here or a click there that takes you right to your desired spot without going back to MY TEAMS each time, saving you time for sure. I'll say it now: It's a great upgrade from what you've had before within this section of the site and I wish we could unveil it today. But we still need to load a little more data and then we'll do it right to start out next week.

Kudos to the Fanball team of John, Cory, Kevin and Carlos. This looks great and our next step is even more exciting. We're working on everything right now and you'll have everything you've had in the past to run your teams AND MORE!! Stay tuned because we're all working hard down here and you're going to like what you see.

By first thing next week you'll see all of this and have your 2010 team links in your MY TEAMS section if you're signed up for any of the events. Good luck all and thanks for your patience throughout all of this. I promise, the wait will be worth it.

Thanks RT. You as much as anyone know how important this is to us and how much we know this has to be done right. We've discussed this a lot. First impressions are important and folks liked the look of the web site, but that's window dressing compared to the all-important back-end stuff, right? We know that, but you're going to really like this first step on the MY TEAMS pages. Then the rest will be unveiled soon after.

Everyone down here is committed to this project and we're ahead of schedule on everything and it's looking good. I feel good and you know I'm a worry wart on this stuff!! :D So if I'm telling you I feel good then you can feel good.

All I know is that we're going to drink some beer tonight!!! :D That's a GUARANTEE!! :D

I turned a family gathering into a nightmare. I chilled out downstairs for the rest of the half and then my oldest and youngest watched the entire second half together. I did have beers, but it was so much fun to just watch the comeback with my kids that it eased the pain somewhat.

I spent a lot of time at Lambeau this year and had a lot of time and energy invested in the Pack. The NFC is wide open and I thought we had a shot, but if you can't play defense any better than that then you have NO SHOT in the playoffs. Wow.

But we have a bright future with Rodgers and I'll still watch the playoffs the rest of the way. The motto now in Wisconsin is "ANYONE BUT MINNESOTA!!" :D

that had to be the worst job of coaching i have ever seen. arizona ran one formation about 40 times and the pack just never stopped it. i mean- change something. blitz 15 guys. something. then at the end they decided to rush no one and play 11 back. awfull. plus- did anyone tackle anyone? with all the rules changes the nfl is flag football. lots of scoring sells tickets and keeps fantasy guys happy. poor aaron rogers- put up - what 45 points and takes blame. he was great- the defensive coordinator should have been fired on the spot. keep him please- will give the bears a chance. although we are looking at mike tice- geez.
