Not sure where all the poker posters have gone - look you are already in Vegas, draft is over and you have had a drink (or two) and dinner - now you could hang out with other drafters and play some cards and have fun for a few hours.

WHAT are you waiting for?

I am interested in the poker game and I have a friend who is coming with me. Would he be able to get in?

If he is your co-manager yes, otherwise the definition of friend gets loose and this is strictly for NFBC entrants, staff and spouses. We don't want anything like the Kahuna tournament last year, even if your friend isn't Phil Helmuth.

There are 10 players who have paid and signed up - we don't need a huge turnout, but we should be able to get three tables - 30 players !

Captain I think if you just make a anouncement on fri and sat you will get a lot of people to play. I think a lot of people are to lazy or didnt feel good about sending the 35. I sure hope I am right.

Stan, I think Greg is sending out an email to all the Vegas signups to help us recruit.

Our problem with everyone signing up next weekend is that Tom can't reserve 3 or 4 tables at Union Plaza on Saturday night if people don't give us a commitment beforehand. Tom can pull a lot of strings, but it's going to be so crazy that night in Las Vegas that having extra tables waiting for "potential" players makes it incredibly tough on Tom Elias. So at the very least, if you're at all interested in playing on Saturday on a night where you won't get a table anywhere in the city (most likely), just say so here and we'll get the payment later. We need names, not down payments right now to make this happen.

Greg, maybe you took all their money with entries and they don't have any left for poker?

Hook, maybe what you don't understand is this a higher class of fantasy players. They don't want to go downtown to a clap trap hotel. The Union Plaza is a dive! Thier claim to fame was a train that hasn't run there in 40 or 50 years.

Wallowing, what does that have to do with where we hold a poker tournament. Talk to some of the guys who played in the WCOFF poker tournament - we were sold out at 120. The baseball players are just tighter and we are drafting in three cities and not all in Vegas.

Where would you hold it, Disneyland?

Okay, last night I sent out an e-mail to the Las Vegas folks about poker and everything else and we got 4-5 guys who e-mailed and said they'd play poker on Saturday night. That puts us at 15 for sure and likely more. Everyone plan on playing and Tom will try to get tables for 30. We'll take care of payment at the event, but just e-mail me at [email protected] to let me know you'll play. It's for NFBC owners and co-managers only, so baseball will be the talk of the day (I mean night). Should be good fun at the Union Plaza. As with everything else, I'm sure we'll get it done with late signups, so prepare for a good night of poker.

Perry, keep the momentum going. We'll get there.
