Live Double play

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Wed Feb 10, 2010 4:28 am

We have 140+ teams currently signed up for the Live Double Play with a goal of 300. I think as owners get their main event teams secured and travel plans set, we'll begin to fill these leagues up as well. The chance to win $85,000 plus the $75,000 cash bonus for winning both the main event and the Double Play will be just too much to ignore as Draft Day rolls around. I think this one will finish strong.

Anyway, here's the details and the signup list from the link above:

There are two components to the NFBC Double Play in 2010: The online portion that has a league prize of $1,300 and a grand prize of $60,000; and a Live portion that has a slightly higher entry fee but allows you to win a higher league prize, a $25,000 grand prize and the $60,000 grand prize.

The online portion is similar to the NFBC Online Championship that we ran last year. In 2009, we had 600 teams and awarded a $40,000 grand prize. This year we are shooting for 720 online teams and 300 Live teams. Cost of entry is $350 online and $500 for the Live Double Play.

We'll keep track of all signups for the Double Play on this thread. The Double Play is a 12-team, 30-round serpentine draft. Good luck to all in this format.

Here's the current signup list:

J Eagle - under the heading SIGNUP FORUM, you have to click on the auction championship ( page # 2 ) in order to see the DOUBLE PLAY LIVE list.

Greg has placed a link at that location to help you find the DOUBLE PLAY LIVE information.

I don't understand why they removed the actual link on the signup page for the DOUBLE PLAY LIVE, but this is how I've been following the sign-ups for the DOUBLE PLAY LIVE.

Hey Ken, we didn't remove the link to the Live Double Play signups. I posted it in my response to Jared above. It's still in the Signup Forum.

Tom:

When I click on the SIGNUP FORUM, I see six topics. Five links to the signup lists - MINUS the DOUBLE PLAY LIVE link?

On my computer, there is still a link to Gekko's 2010 plans within your SIGNUP FORUM, but in order to access the DOUBLE PLAY LIVE link, I have to go the route I detailed above?

Maybe it is my computer? This new LIVE DOUBLE PLAY link should help.

That's odd Ken. I'm not sure what would be causing that. The link is there. I promise.

Topic

1 - 2010 NFBC Classic Signup List Greg

2- 2010 NFBC Auction Championship Signup 3- 2010 NFBC Online Double Play Signup List 4 - 2010 NFBC Diamond, Ultimate & Super 5 - 2010 NFBC Satellite League Signup Thread 6 - Gekko's 2010 NFBC Plans Pages

Tom: I don't doubt you, but in the SIGNUP FORUM, the above listed SIX are all that I see. I've had a few friends want to sign up, and they couldn't find the link. Hence the note on January 23rd.

Greg placed the LIVE DOUBLE PLAY link under the Auction Championship at that point and this is how I've tracked the sigups.

Just trying to help .... but I don't see it. Chance that others aren't seeing the link as well? ;)

TOM:

OK, just figured it out.

On my page, the DEFAULT setting for listing topics in the TOP RIGHT corner allows you to set how many days a topic remains. Mine is set at SHOW TOPICS from the last 20 days. For whatever reason, the LIVE DOUBLE PLAY link does not show on my page UNLESS I set that to the last 45 days.

Chance that some people are missing this topic BECAUSE of this reason?
