Hey Guys
I was wondering if anyone has a decent travel method besides driving to Atlantic City. I have an hour and a half train ride to Grand Central. Flying ideas, buses, and or trains would help. Thinking of doing main in AC but it is probably about a 4 1/2 hour drive from Poughkeepsie.
Thanks
Marty

I'm pretty sure there would be "tour buses" out of Grand Central down to the casino doorsteps in A.C. Years ago I was driving from CT down to run the Atlantic City marathon when my clutch went out just past the Tappan Zee Bridge, close to where I grew up. Wound up getting a transit bus into NYC, then a tour bus to A.C. out of G-Cent ... trip fare included a voucher for a roll of quarters that stayed in my pocket, lol. Might be different now, but I'd be surprised if there weren't similar arrangements possible. (Cost-wise, my brothers towed the car to Dad's place, so I wasn't paying NYC parking, though.)

Marty:
The Atlantic City airport ( ACY ) is very easy to navigate, Air Tran and Spirit are the primary carriers. Easy 20 minute drive from ACY to Bally's with a rental.
Philadelphia Airport ( PHL ) would also be an option, drive is about an hour into Atlantic City.
The bus station will leave you with a walk/cab ride over to Bally's. I wouldn't walk this stretch in the evening. Drop me a message if you have any other questions, happy to help.

Considering that you already know the way, any chance you can make an appearance on Friday March 19th or Saturday March 20th?
CRIME SCENE could make its NFBC debut!
I'm coming DOWN on Saturday with hopes that the party I'm assisting draws Gekko and/or my pal Rick Thomas in the same league.

It is only about 210 miles from Poughkeepsie to A.C. Should only take you 3-3 1/2 hours to drive (87 to the Tappen Zee to the Garden State Parkway) taking a bus or a Train will take you just as long ,if not longer. Flying is the quickies way if it's available. plus driving let you come and go as you please.no wait on a buses schedule.

You are right about the drive. Actually NY thruway to 287 to Parkway at Driscoll bridge. For some reason I thought it was longer.
Thanks

for me sack....i know my limits. as you have pointed out the 12 teamers just dont do it for me. i guess as we get older/wiser i would like to think i know my strengths/weaknesses better. auctions and 12 teamers..."me not so good"....said like a caveman

Understood, I've enjoyed the 12 team format in both NFBC & NFFC. Allows you to build a team that is alot more fun to watch "in-season" as your roster is obviously stacked from a smaller player pool.
12 teamers are a nice intro for the new players as well. Always some help available on the waiver wire, which should help hold interest longer into the season.
Now that the WHITE SHARK is in the waters, my AC plans are coing into focus. EDDIE - nice to cya coming to AC.

Hey Eddie
Glad you are coming to AC. I too am a die hard cowboy fan and we have had brief chats over the years at football. I enjoy playing against people I have never competed against in baseball. Being an OG as you call it, I have never competed against Steve plus a few others before. Last year was actually the first year I competed against Mark in main and the 12 team thing. Looking foward to AC big time. Now I am trying to book room at Bally's. Funny thing M Austin graduated from my alma mater the famous Monmouth U, it was college when I attended. Now I am trying to dissuade the girl friend from attending lol
