GREG please help us!!!

Glenn,

I said it was annoying. I'm not trying to pretend its great. I just got off the phone with my NFBBC partner and we've solidified our bids, so I have to basically delete them all and start over. They were in there earlier in the week just as a placeholder/scout team kind of thing. So yeah, the 15 minutes I need to spend right now is annoying. Just saying that its not killer for me. I still love the league.

-You have to start a new bid for every conditional bid.

-You have to start a new bid and delete your original bid to revise your bid price.

-You have to start a new bid and delete your original bid to change your drop from one player to another.

The FFOC FAAB was just as bad.

I'm not a fan of all bids & bidders being visible to everybody, though I think the winning bidder has a right to know what the 2nd highest bid is....

NFBC & STATS had this right last year too.

Glenn sounds like the ffpc nightmare from last year. i can't even imagine using a faab system like that for baseball. :(

We got our guys this week, Korver and Marquis Daniels!

Yeah Eddie, the only reason I know the site backwards and forwards is that we "might" be still leading the contest. Might in quotes because we won't know until tomorrow. League standings don't update until the next day either.

It's like going into a timewarp to fantasy software in 1999.

Like I said, other than that, it's great!

One question though.

In NFBBC, just like FFOC, all the winning and loseming bids are shown on the FAAB results page.

I'm about 60/40 liking it versus not.

Is this staying?

-Craig Kielinski I apologize to all for being out of touch today, via the message boards and via email. The next five weeks are going to be insane for me and my family and I basically tried to be a 24-hour dad and son this weekend before everyone loses me in the NFBC. I tried my best, even doing something special for my mom, but in the end the phone even rang continuously in church. I have become a prisoner of this damn Blackberry!! :D

But I'm only half kidding there because people who know me well know how hard this job was before I had instant communication. Now people have access to me wherever I go and I can never quite escape this job. On the ski trails, four calls yesterday. In church yesterday, four calls. It's a great thing that we have so much interest and devotion, but as my wife said tonight "don't you get sick of that?" :D

My answer is that I'll only get sick of it if we don't come through for you like you expect. I can't prevent people from thinking the worst about things that haven't even happened, so all I can do is get all of the answers from our developers and be as honest and as transparent as can be. I'll be meeting with everyone this week in St. Louis and getting back to you on our progress for FAAB, roster moves, etc.

We all understand how important your Sundays are and saving you time with the STATS system over the last two years has been good for you and good for us. If you save time making free agent moves, you can play more NFBC games. If you play more NFBC games, we generate more revenue. We already know how this feature was built and now we are duplicating that and adding to it. This is a VERY important part of the NFBC and we'll get this right.

I've seen some "sky is falling" posts and emails about this area when there's no reason for it yet. Let us get this finished and unveil the features to you when it's ready, and before then trust that my updates aren't B.S. I'm going to tell it like it is, good or bad. But the guys are certain that this part will be better than before.

As for your question, Craig, we will just post winning bids and runner-up bids for all pickups in all NFBC leagues. That's what I've asked of the IT department.

And as for the back-end, remember, this is not going to be like any Fanball commissioner product. We do not have customizable categories. We have 5x5, 15-team leagues and 5x5 12-team leagues. That's it. We have this set up on the back-end and now it's a matter of getting the look and feel with category heads and other features the way you had them before. We need to make things look and feel similar for you so that you can enjoy the live scoring and the ease of making roster moves like before.

We are under our own intense deadlines to get all of this done, but nonetheless we hear your concerns and are working hard on all. Give me a night to catch up on sleep and then this week we are going to push, push, push on all and get folks feeling comfortable about all we're doing here with our live events and the all-important software that runs this contest.

Call me tomorrow with any questions or concerns. I'll be on the clock then. Tonight, I need a few more hours away from the Blackberry. ;)

Oh, one more thing: Tom, Geoff and myself are having a little trouble getting emails through to Yahoo accounts this week for some reason. I'm going to ask what's going on, but some folks have not received emails from us and no matter how hard we try they keep bouncing back. If you haven't heard from us with a replied email and you have a Yahoo account, I promise we are not ignoring you. We have some server issues with that mainly from the three of us and we will try to resolve that ASAP. But I feel bad because as everyone knows I reply to emails quickly and when folks don't get them it hurts our business and our relationship with our customers.

Give me a call, I guess, or maybe I need to call you.
