one player i admit i'm having a difficult time "grading out" is corey hart. an 18/15 season appears to be his floor for this year. if he ends up and hits 2bd in the lineup, his #'s could be on a rocketship. however if he hits 6th or later 18/15 looks reasonable.

and best of all, his adp is only 12th round

He couldnt hit a thing last year. Has never showed consistency at the major league level. A big question mark...

I might be way of but i think he has something to prove and 20/20 isint out of the question. Weeks i believe will hit leadoff and i think he will rebound as well. Braun worthy of 3rd pick, maybe.

Gigi - My debate over who bats 2nd in MIL didn't even include Hart. Thanks for the input.

Ditto on Hart

Think he will bat 5th Looking at 20-20 with huge upside. Great pick in 13-14 probably earlier.

Just an opinion

Yeah - I think Hart's headed for the 5 spot as well. Weeks/Escobar up top with Hart providing some protection for the big boys. Zaun and Gomez looked locked into the 7 and 8 spots. That leaves McGehee/Hart/Escobar to fight for the 2nd spot.

boy, you guys have a lot of faith in a player that has 125 at bats under his belt and basically hit in the 7/8/9 hole all last year. :D

maybe some of you don't understand, if escobar slumps (or most other inexperienced players), they will either be on the bench or back in the minors. in escobar's case, it would be the minors.

i completely understand that escobar is the hype pick and hart is old news. just don't be surprised if hart opens hitting 2nd and escobar is hitting 7 or 8.

I wouldn't be surprised if and when it happens - but look at what they have and tell me who would you bat 5th?

Marty He could do 20-20 but where's the upside?

- doesnt walk much so he's not a great candidate to hit second or score a ton even if he did

- BA is limited by a mediocre contact rate

- 20-20 already assumes a big improvement over last season

- he's missed significant time in 2 of his 4 seasons

Early to mid-teen rounds looks about right.

Bench??? What are the "minors" you speak of???
Agreed. This bum has burned me one too many times. He has horrible plate recognition. Mid teens at the earliest for me. Some folks will think of his prior year draft position and draft him higher. Good luck
In 2008 he didn't live up to my expectations and he was a very high draft pick. Last year he was a complete disaster. I think we're on the same page with him since you're "touting" him. Two years he has let me down. If I let him burn me again - Shame on me. I did pass on him in round 14 of a recent slow draft. I think that shows that I'm not on board for 2010.
