1 Spot Left For the Main Event

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Sat Mar 06, 2010 6:09 am

We currently have 413 teams signed, sealed and delivered for the NFBC's main event, which means that we need seven more teams -- including one on the first weekend in Atlantic City -- to fill up our 28th full league. We are coming close to full leagues in certain cities, so we're going to be smart with these next signups and see if we can close out another full league or two.

Jump in soon folks and get in before we get to 420 signups. That number has a nice ring to it and one that works for all of us. Thanks all.

From the lists looks like the first weekend (except for that AC opening) is set, and NYC and online are set too. Assuming that you can combine CHI and LV II, are you looking for six more spots from Chicago and Vegas II and you're going to stop at 420?

Thanks

Assuming the final signups end at 420 or 435, any word if the adjusted prize winnings will all go into the leagues and not the overall??

Thanks We'll see. We have to get to 420 first before those last nine signups get in. We got another main event signup for Chicago this afternoon, which is exactly what we needed. So all is good and let's get AC filled first and then see what this week brings for the March 27th main event.

Well, I'm glad we decided to grow the main event to 420 teams because it allowed enough time to get our past champion, Terry Haney, back into the mix!! Terry won $105,000 and the overall title in 2007 and now has his flight booked for Las Vegas on March 27-28, rejoining the main event for the seventh straight year and a Live Double Play on Sunday, March 28th. Welcome back Terry!!

We're at 418 teams now with two more spots until we get to 420. We have more work to do to line up full leagues in each city, but first of all we have to fill up Atlantic City that first weekend. We had three full leagues and then lost two folks to other time slots. So let's fill that up first and then see where it takes us.

WELCOME BACK CHAMP!!! It's time to leave the long winter of Johnston, Iowa and join us for some fun and sun in Las Vegas!!! Good luck in becoming our first two-time NFBC overall champion. You are one of seven owners who can accomplish that.

I think RT is going to be in Vegas for both weekends, pizza business must be doing good or he hasn't spent all of his winnings from last year
