What Do We Have Left?

Post by Tom Kessenich » Mon Mar 08, 2010 3:35 am

It's getting down to crunch time so it's time for people to start making those final decisions as to what events they want to be in. We have spots available in all of our live events so we have something for everyone. Here's the breakdown:

NFBC CLASSIC:

WEEKEND 1: March 20, 2010

BELLAGIO LAS VEGAS - 6 Spots Available

BALLYS ATLANTIC CITY - 2 Spots Available

PUJOLS 5 ST. LOUIS - 9 Spots Available

The first goal is to fill up AC so if you're interested in taking a spot there sign up today. If we can get to 3 full leagues again we'll close off Ballys. Then we'd look to get three more signups for Vegas and St. Louis, combine those cities and shut down the first weekend. So essentially, we're looking at getting five more signups for the first weekend and we can consider shutting that down. We will then pull all draft slots!

NFBC CLASSIC:

WEEKEND 2: March 27, 2010

BELLAGIO LAS VEGAS - 9 Spots Available

CITI FIELD NEW YORK - 13 Spots Available

CUBBY BEAR CHICAGO - 11 Spots Available

ONLINE - 3 Full Leagues (SOLD OUT)

We're looking at hooking up some cities, especially with New York now starting on a seventh league due to getting a couple of signups over the weekend. We'll see what this week brings in terms of signups.

LIVE DOUBLE PLAY:

WEEKEND 1: Time / Dates Throughout March 19-21, 2010.

BELLAGIO LAS VEGAS

March 19/9 am - 4 Spots Available

March 20/4 pm - 5 Spots Available

March 20/7 pm - 8 Spots Available

We have one full league on the 20th and are closing in on a full league for 3/19 at 9 a.m. The March 20th 7 pm league is looking iffy right now so here's the plan - if you are in that league and want to switch to another Live Double Play on either weekend please contact me by email ([email protected]) or phone (715 445-2906) and I'll get you set up. Or if you want to change from the Live Double Play to the Classic or Auction Championship, you can make that switch too.

BALLYS ATLANTIC CITY

March 19/5 pm - 3 Spots Available

March 20/7 pm - 1 FULL LEAGUE

March 21/1 pm - 7 Spots Available

The March 19th/5 pm league should be good to go. The March 21st league has a lot more work to do so if you are in that league and want to switch to Friday or New York let me know. Also, the Classic and Auction Championship events are options as well if that league doesn't fill up.

PUJOLS 5 ST. LOUIS

March 19/11 am - 8 Spots Available

March 19/5 pm - 1 FULL LEAGUE

We'll continue taking signups for St. Louis but one option is to combine the 3/19 league here with the morning one in Las Vegas. There currently are 12 owners combined for those two locations. So that is an option.

LIVE DOUBLE PLAY:

WEEKEND 2: Time / Dates Throughout March 26-28, 2010.

BELLAGIO LAS VEGAS

March 26/9 am - 1 Spot Available

March 26/1 pm - 4 Spots Available

March 26/5 pm - 1 FULL LEAGUE

March 27/4 pm - 6 Spots Available

March 27/7 pm - 4 Spots Available

March 28/10 am - 5 Spots Available

March 28/4 pm - 4 Spots Available

We're close to filling up a full league on 3/26 at 9 am so if you want that spot sign up NOW to make sure you're in. We are looking good to fill up the remainder of the schedule in Vegas for the second weekend but anyone who wants to switch to a different event please contact me and I'll help you get set up.

CUBBY BEAR CHICAGO

March 27/6 pm - 3 Spots Available

We're on track to fill up two full leagues in Chicago for the Live Double Play.

CITI FIELD NEW YORK:

March 26/10 am - 1 Spot Available

March 26/2 pm - 10 Spots Available

March 26/5 pm - 10 Spots Available

March 27/7 pm - 2 FULL LEAGUES

March 28/1 pm - 9 Spots Available

If you want to sign up for the Friday morning league, do so TODAY. Only one spot left for that league. The 2 pm league is unlikely to fill so if you're in that league please contact me about moving to another event. We have one full league at 5 pm so the second league will need some work. Same with the Sunday morning event.

AUCTION CHAMPIONSHIP:

WEEKEND 1: Time / Dates Throughout March 19-21, 2010.

BELLAGIO LAS VEGAS:

March 19/9 am - 9 Spots Available

March 19/4 pm - 8 Spots Available

We have one full league in Vegas on March 19 at 4 pm. The Friday morning auction is not looking good so if you are in that league and want to switch to the later time on Friday, the following weekend or the Live Double Play or Classic let me know. We'll continue taking signups for the morning auction but realistically that league may not fill up. So if you are in that league and want to switch to something else let me know.

BALLYS ATLANTIC CITY:

March 19/4 pm - 1 FULL LEAGUE

March 21/6 pm - 6 Spots Available

We'll continue to take signups for the March 21st league but we have work to do there. If you want to switch to another event let me know.

PUJOLS 5 ST. LOUIS:

March 19/4 pm - 8 Spots Available

This league isn't looking real good so if you want to switch to the Live Double Play or the Classic let us know. We'll continue to take signups but there's a lot of work to do with this league.

AUCTION CHAMPIONSHIP:

WEEKEND 2: Time / Dates Throughout March 26-28, 2010.

BELLAGIO LAS VEGAS:

March 26/9 am - 1 FULL LEAGUE

March 26/4 pm - 2 FULL LEAGUES

March 28/10 am - 9 Spots Available

We'll continue to take signups for the 3/28 league but that also isn't looking real good right now. So if you want to switch to another event let me know.

CITI FIELD NEW YORK:

March 26/10 am - 1 FULL LEAGUE

March 26/4 pm - 1 FULL LEAGUE

March 28/1 pm - 6 Spots Available

We'll continue taking signups for the 3/28 league but have some work to do. Now's the time to sign up for it or switch to it if you're interested.

CUBBY BEAR CHICAGO:

March 26/4 pm - 1 FULL LEAGUE

March 28/Noon - 12 Spots Available

It's not looking good for the 3/28 league. If you are in this league the best options would be to consider switching to the Classic or the Live Double Play.

What are you going to do about Online Double Plays that don't fill?

For example, I'm signed up for 3/17 at 9pm. There are currently 15 people signed up. If you don't get to 24, what happens? How close to 3/17 will you wait before deciding it's not going to happen?

We're continuing to take signups but the reason for posting this thread is to show people we are getting close to crunch time so if you are in a league that isn't close to filling up, now's the time to decide if you want to stick it out or move to another event. Greg will be back in the office tomorrow and he and I are going to sit down and go over the Live Double Play and Auction leagues and start contacting people who are in leagues that look like they may not fill. Here is what we will be proposing:

1. Moving to another date and or weekend. For example, moving from Vegas Weekend 1 to Vegas Weekend 2 or from Ballys to New York.

2. Moving to another event. If you're in an Auction and not in the Classic or Live Double Play we'll see if you're interested in switching. If you're in an Auction, would you be interested in taking a Live Double Play and an Online Double Play instead? That's what we'll go over.

You can contact me today by email or phone if you're in a league that isn't close to filling up and you'd like to switch. I'll be happy to go over all of the possible options. The key is you have signed up for an event and we want to get you into an event. That's what we're going to be trying to do.

I'm in one of the earlier Online Double Plays, so I'll probably wait and see what happens...I can always move to a later one. I guess I'm wondering specifically how you'll deal with the situation I described...with 15 signed up for a 12 person format, I assume the first 12 get in, and the other three get moved?

For the Live Double Play, the first 12 are guaranteed spots.

Hi Tom,

I know that Tuesday at 1pm was announced as the KDS deadline for the first weekend main event. If the AC leagues aren't full tomorrow, is that deadline going to stay the same or will it be pushed back?

Also, unless my math is incorrect, don't you just need two more signups for the first weekend before you close it off (preferrably in AC)? Since you have a total of 17 possible spots for weekend one then getting 2 more signups would leave 15 spots available. That is exactly one league so they could all be pulled back and then it is closed? I think you might have had 12 team leagues in your head when you were typing about the main event for weekend one.

Maybe my math is wrong or I'm not reading it correctly, but between STL and LV week 1 you already have 75 people or 5 full leagues. Why do you need three more signups there?

[/QUOTE]That's correct but we're still taking signups for all three cities. So we'll see how it breaks down. We want to close out AC. That's the first priority right now.
