I wouldn't be that pesimistic...you're just banking on several of your players to be candidates for CPOY award

BJ Upton, Hamilton, Bruce, Qualls

if that happens and Guerrier& Downs get to close and Aceves ends up as the Yankees 5th starter, you're gonna be competitive

Trying to reverse-engineer the order of your picks...

1. Utley

2. Reynolds

3. Ichiro

4. Upton

5. Wainwright

6. Hamilton

7. Bruce

8. Hanson

9. Weaver

10. As.Cabrera

11. Qualls

12. Hawpe

After there it gets pretty shuffled. How'd I do?

Assuming this is correct (or close to it), it would seem to me your problem was not with player selection but an over-investment in OF too early, which left you scraping at too many other positions. Five OF's through 12-13 rounds is two too many IMO.

I will appreciate it if you would bring this draft strategy to St. Louis on Saturday. I'll be right next to you to support you through this.

stats thru May 3rd

R 181

RBI 160

BA .2798

HR 47

SB 27

ERA 2.7409

W 19

S 11

WHIP 1.0636

K 208

drops..guzman, ankiel, guerrier, downs, aceves

pickups..f lopez, medlen, leblanc, meek, uehara

GOOD NEWS...i have 110.5 pt's, i'm meeting most of my goals. a little low on a couple Batting Cats, but not bad. a little low on Saves, but i picked up Evan Meek over the weekend.

BAD NEWS...i'm in third place in this SAT league, 15 pt's out of first, 7.5 behind 2nd. :(

i'd love to have these numbers with my Classic team.
