Next week is gonna be a bear to listen to all the Vegas chatter as I'm here at home. The plus side is it's 81 degrees inside the house right now and I'm slightly sunburnt from working outdoors the last two days.
Funny how when you take shots on old timers or the injury prone and fail...you're an idiot. When you take shots on old timers and the injury prone and hit...you're lucky.
Could a moneybag player or syndicate of players strategicaly purchase suicide drafters in the leagues that contain their biggest threats to the overall, and have them draft the elite SP/RP the first 12 rounds, thus crippling all other's in that league's chances to hit their targets to place high in the overall due to their target ratio's for saves and K's and ERA/WHIP being from a smaller pool?
Taking all the top stolen base guys for the first 10 rounds would do the trick easily IMO, thus knocking every single player in that league OUT of the overall.
Just a couple weird thoughts that crossed my mind today.
Edited to add: Wait..."zero sum game" would kick in, and that league would be stronger in the other categories than the other ADP sheep filled leagues!
Edited once again to add...
If you had access ahead of time to similar weekly free agent bidding final results that were comparable to those of the NFBC...would that be cheating? I'm talking an entire league of teams bidding results that were processed before you had to submit your bids, so you could see ranges and average bids.
Just checking.
