Joe Blanton, the team's projected No. 3 starter, had to cut short a throwing session on Wednesday, CSNPhilly.com has learned, because of an oblique problem.

"He may have tweaked it," general manger Ruben Amaro, Jr. said. "We'll check him out tomorrow [Thursday]."
