Summary of issues

Post by Schwartzstops » Mon Apr 05, 2010 3:13 am

To hopefully help things get squared away today, does everyone agree that this is the complete and accurate list of outstanding issues right now (in no particular order)?

1. Live scoring did not work

2. Week 0 stats not available this morning

3. Teams that had multiple FAAB lists only had the first one processed

4. Missing runner-up bids for those that were processed correctly

5. Message boards were overloaded and unresponsive last night

6. Lack of response on message boards or elsewhere since late last night

Anything else?

I just want this to work so I can enjoy being in first place (Pedroia, Cameron, Papelbon) for a day!

Don't forget the lineups were locked until this morning. The message said they will be unlocked in the next few minutes. By a few minutes I guess they meant 15 hours.

Get out the spreadsheets and landlines. We're going manual.

I just want this to work so I can enjoy being in first place (Pedroia, Cameron, Papelbon) for a day! They can work most of this out during the week. If I don't have live scoring, or stats and standings for a few days , I can deal with it. But the Free agent mess is a real issue and needs to be straightened out NOW!!! We got 2 1/2 hours til game time and our free agents are yet to be processed properly. I've been quiet trusting the powers that be here..but this is unacceptable unacceptable. I can't sit here for the next 2 hours waiting to see if my leagues FA's get properly processed.

players that were removed from the free agent pool were still allowed to be bid on (if the owner set up the bid) prior to fanball removing the player.

ALL OF THOSE WINNING BIDS MUST BE RESCINDED AND THE PLAYER REMOVED BEFORE ANY FAAB IS RUN.

While not as urgent of a problem, I would include the fact that the rules for satellite leagues stated the first FAAB for leagues that drafted this last weekend would not take place until next weekend. This rule was changed by way of a post on page 6 of a message board thread. I know that many individuals were unaware of this rule change and missed out on submitting bids yesterday.

While sudden, unpublicized rule changes are not good, I think this is just a symptom of the larger issue--the lack of an effective means for NFBC management to communicate with customers.
