Friday Lineup Changes For Hitters and Pitchers
Just a heads up for everyone that per the rules this year you can move hitters out of your starting lineup for the weekend games with your reserve players as long as you maintain a legal lineup. So if your second basemen is day-to-day for the weekend with an injury he suffered this week, you can replace him for Friday's, Saturday's and Sunday's games with a player on your reserve roster that has 2B eligibility. You can set your roster now for the weekend games and you can do that up to five minutes before the first game on Friday.
The same rule as last year applies for pitchers. You can only remove an active pitcher out of your starting lineup on Friday if that player is officially designated as on the MLB DL before 12:01 am on Friday. We get the DL designations from STATS who gets them from MLB, so if it's not listed on the site then you can't move that player, even if you read it somewhere that the team was going to place him on the DL. Pitchers can only go from active to reserve if they are on the DL at that time.
Hope this helps. Please ask questions here if you don't fully understand the new Friday rule. Thanks and good luck all.

Friday Lineup Changes For Hitters and Pitchers
Hey Greg,
First of, thanks for your hard work in trying to get off this rocky start.
Two quick questions regarding the lineups:
1- As of now, I am able to change the lineup for today also. Are you making an exception for this week only because of the FAAB problems?
2- The Yankees are off on Thursday yet the lineup page shows they're playing Boston. Can that be fixed?
Thanks again
KP

KP 1. This has been addressed. Any lineup change you are making in Rosters Set is being done for the 4/9-4/11 time period. I can see that in the Admin tool we are all using. It is displaying the change somewhere else, but we are getting that display feature changed (okay, in Live Scoring). Your roster is set now for 4/5-4/8 and any change you make will be for 4/9-4/11.
2. Damn the Yankees. I have no idea why that is wrong, but I'll ask IT now.

Friday Lineup Changes For Hitters and Pitchers
I've seen other schedules with the Red Sox-Yankees matchup on Thursday.
I believe the Thursday game was on MLB's original schedule, then moved to Sunday night to accommodate ESPN.

So we can adjust our hitting lineups as we see fit based on matchups, etc. In other words, there is no DL requirement to adjust Friday lineups for hitters?
thanks

thanks [/QUOTE]Correct for hitters this year. That's why it pays to have multiple position guys on your bench this year. They may come through for you during the season.

One more update: You can Set Rosters for this weekend's period but not for Week 3 (4/12) just yet. In future weeks you will be able to set lineups the next week after Monday's games start, but we're just fine-tuning the Friday changes because of all the roster changes and thus need to hold off next week's link for a bit yet. But that is in the works and that feature will work for the next week very soon.
Thanks again for your patience.
