Setting lineup for next week

Post by Red Sox Nation » Thu Apr 08, 2010 4:24 pm

Greg,

When will we be able to go forward and set next weeks lineup? I thought once the games started each week the next week would open. This is very important for those who try to plan ahead while managing so many teams. Can we please get this ability ASAP?

Couple More Things

* For our team stats the only options are Period 1, Period 2, and yesterday. We need Year To Date

* When are we getting the watch list? Why is this taking so long?

*Lineup Screen- We need to view this weeks Mon-Thursday.

*Another nice option from previous years - When we clicked on a player a box opened up that showed Round drafted, date picked up, and date dropped. There was also a very easy game log for the current period. There was also a games played by position chart. The page that opened for the player was very simple. The Owners Edge page that opens up has too much information and you need to dig to find this information. I'm not a fan of the owners edge page.

We had disabled this for Week 2 until rosters were completely updated and that was done by Wednesday night. I'll get this done so everyone can move forward and get lineups set ahead of time. Going forward you are right this should be active each Tuesday morning after rosters are locked and loaded for that week. Sorry for the delay. Chalk up another residue to the FAAB re-run.

Okay, if you go to ROSTER, Set Lineup, you'll now be able to set next week's lineup. You can see the matchups for all of the players there.

In future weeks we'll allow you to set the following week's lineup earlier than Friday, but because of this week's FAAB snafu we needed to get the Friday lineup changes set first. I'll have more of an update on the next week's starting lineup schedule soon.

Greg,

Nice job again on the improvements. Regarding the lineup setting - We still can't view our Monday thru Thursday and our Friday-Sunday (for this week). Now all it shows is next week.

Thanks

Thanks Yeah, looks like we need a Period pulldown or tab so that you can go back and forth there. Totally agree. Let me get on that.

How do I see my line-up match-ups for tomorrow and Sunday? Do I need to be on firefoxzilla or whatever it is called to see that? Or is the thought....you can't change it anyways so don't worry about it? I guess I like to look in the AM and be reminded of who I am supposed to be cheering for that day.

Greg,

One thing I forgot to add in previous post: Can we work on the positions near the player on the lineup page? We don't need UT unless a true UT, CI, and MI. Thanks for the improvements

Greg, can we please move this up the priorities list?

I really think letting people set lineups for next week before friday is really important, especially with the summer coming and personal schedules filling up.

Yes, this is moved up on the priority list. But I don't want to see the Tuesday-Thursday matchups disappear once we open Set Lineup for Friday. And if we open Set Lineup for next week, do all matchups then disappear? I'm trying to figure out why we can't have Period pulldowns to let you guys set your lineups for Friday while still having this week's matchups and then set your lineup for next week while still having the Set Lineup for Friday-Sunday active with those matchups as well. So hopefully we can get three sets of periods here so you can work ahead and still not lose the matchups. Does that make sense?

What week of the season do we plan on having this fixed? It has been mentioned since day 1 and here we are still waiting for the option to set our lineups for the following week. Quite sad we are still having issues getting stuff setup properly and timely.
