Brian Roberts has left the game with a strained abdominal muscle.

Related to back injury or will it be reported later that it IS a back injury? ;)

I watched it and it didn't look like it had anything to do with his back injury. He slid awkwardly into second. He may have pulled a muscle and this could be one of those annoying injuries that lingers.

They're saying it's a strained abdominal muscle. Happened crossing as he crossed the bag when he stole 2nd.

Good news for Roberts owners is it probably means it's not related to his back problems

Bad news for Roberts owners is it's a brand new injury.

With a bad back you compensate to protect it - every injury he has this yr will likely be indirectly because of his bad disk.
Roberts did look like a leading contender for value trap of the year.

I'm hoping Chipper isn't another - although the new Friday swap rule did work out nicely with him in week 1.

Its funny, as I wrote in my thread this was the pick I was second guessing almost from the moment I made it. I think back to reviewing my team with Mark, Marty, & Mike (the three M's ) after the draft and asking them about that pick. I remember Mark said I was crazy not taking McCutcheon.

Checking the early box scores from work today and seeing Roberts getting his second steal of the year already, I was starting to feel good about that choice. Of course when I read this thread, the good feelings turned to slight nausea....
glenn - with poodles and if lincecum IS the #1 or #2SP this year, any owner should be 1 or 2 in his league. they are THAT good.
