Torre strikes again

One week, one blown game directly on the shoulders of Joe "clueless moves" Torre.

Right on pace with last season.

Torre strikes again

Not a Torre fan after what he did in Atlanta.

I missed the game, KJ. What did old Joe do this time?
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

I missed the game, KJ. What did old Joe do this time? Used Broxton on consecutive days in non-save situations, the last of which was in a blow-out ... making him unavailable to use yesterday in a save situation.

Troncoso pitched a perfect 8th and looked good then gave up a hit to open the 9th. I would've kept Trono in there. Instead he sends in Sherrill who hasnt been able to find the plate or miss any bats all spring or in his previous 2 outings.

Sherrill predictably is wild and gets hammered when he throws it over the plate. Torre never warms anyone else up, even after loading the bases with a HPB and a BB, then loading them again after he allowed the tying runs score.

It was as close to a lay-down as I've seen since the Colts pulled their starters in the 3rd quarter with a perfect season on the line. So bad, that if I were commishioner I'd be checking the Torre family for Marlin betting tickets.

I think this thread could remain active all year.

Why do Manny Ramirez and Casey Blake need 2 days off the first week? Why would you remove both these guys again today when one of your top sluggers, Ethier, is out?
