Anyone bid on this guy?

I noticed in my 2 faab leagues besides the main, he went for $137 and $91. He's already rostered in my main event league, so no bid there.

He went for $327 in one of my leagues!

It's not like he has been named the closer, and I agree 100% with Mark.....if they wanted him to be the closer, they wouldn't have got Mi-Go!

Then again, it could be worse, you could have Trevor Hoffman.....friggin dinosaur probably still watches games on VHS!!

Thank goodness St. Louis is leaving town!

I don't think Johnson is a long term solution, but for teams who have Gonzalez and Francisco, he could be a way to pick up some saves.

I picked him up in all three of my leagues:

$119 in a league I had Gonzalez

$115 in a league I had Francisco

$85 in a league I had neither, just took a chance

Right....bet Hoffman keeps his job though (history)! He's done just as bad as Francisco and Gonzalez. Then again, its early, and I would have let F and G pull their way out of it.

I tried to get Johnson too, but was outbid (I have Francisco). He could be the closer all year if he gets the job done, but Gonzalez may come back in if he figures it out.

I'm sure at some point this season (hopefully sooner rather than later) a few closers will get hurt or blow too many saves and more opportunities will come about.

I just realized Hanrahan screwed up early last year, they gave him a second chance (if I'm recalling correctly) before he still sucked. Then, MacDougal came in and did really well! So, Francisco and Gonzalez really could get a second chance here.
