I never imagined I'd find myself in this position as Gekko's defender, but fair is fair. In the two leagues I have found in which he did not remove Padilla he had picked up a pitcher in each league that week, one of them Jamie Moyer. Any court here in America, he's a free man.

I was at work and couldn't make the moves, but decided to eat the Lannan start(s) so we wouldn't have conversations like this. Maybe it was self-flaggelation for have the dink on my team in the first place.

That being said, I FULLY and COMPLETELY trust Greg. If Mark got his request in on time, all is good.

In my opinion the FAAB snafu in week 1 created this loophole and I knew instantly this was the worst of all problems. (Much worse than bad software, etc) The stats would be tainted for the season. I personally have lost a league by 1 run. I have lost a main event title by a pitcher on my team giving up 1 extra hit over the course of a season. These leagues are decided so close that its really unfortunate that this loop-hole for setting lineups existed.

I'm not singling out Gekko here. I'm sure this happened all over the place. Perhaps sometimes the lineup changes were legit and with others folks were taking advantage of seeing stats. The software will one day be near perfect and all will be happy but the stats from week 1 will never be correct.

There should be an asterisk next to any winnings Gekko may have with this team....taking a guy out of your lineup after he got blasted just because you could get away with it is low.....bad, bad precedent

i checked the email timestamp. email was sent at 2.14pm. who took him out after he got blasted? i belive the game was in the end of 2nd or top of 3rd.

Funny thing is, it did not have to come to this... You could have just went with the transactions you made that morning like the rest of us.

Everyone should be held to the transactions that were made since we have the history.

If you got a different player on the 2nd run of the waiver process, then it is up to Greg and Tom to make a judgement call.

In this case, there is no judgement call needed...

I'm going to lock this thread for the time being. Greg will make a post about this later. However, it needs to be pointed out that the time stamp on the waiver history list is not when Mark called in his move, it's when we were able to make it. We had hundreds of teams we had to adjust last Monday and not every one was done immediately. It took us several hours to get the moves completed. So people looking at the time stamp and assuming that's when Mark contacted us are incorrect. The time stamp reflects when we made the move on his roster.
