Moving locked player to different position

Post by Raiders » Mon Apr 12, 2010 10:24 am

I have aaron hill at 2B. He was just put on the DL so I want to get him out of the lineup. To do that I need to put scott sizemore at 2B who is my middle infielder. If I move sizemore to 2B, I can put in another middle infielder from my bench. The only player locked right now is sizemore. Shouldn't I be allowed to move Sizemore from one position to another even though he is locked. The system doesn't allow it.

Greg can give you the final answer but I think this will have to wait until Friday. Once the player locks you cannot move them.

Thanks. Geoff, Are we allowed to make lineup change AFTER a game is completed?
In this situation, it's the system -- and not the owner -- that isn't allowing the desired change to happen. He's not asking to have a locked player taken out of his lineup, so there's no reason why we can't help him here.

He is asking for a benched player who already had a game started to be in his lineup. Not Fair. What if Sizemore had hit two home runs? This is not right.

This isn't like the rb/wr in football?

The one locked player stayed in his lineup -- he was just moved from MI to 2B, that's all. All of the other moves were made to players who have yet to play this week.

Thanks Geoff....I did not know that.

I always try to manipulate players so that the problem doesn't arise.

I don't have to say it, because I already know that you are, but enjoy this great day of baseball. Twelve hours of nonstop action isn't nearly enough!
Amen to that!! I think the only reason I came into work today was to watch some games without the kids interrupting me. Oh, that and the paycheck issue.
