Lance I guess you and a few others thought he might get "chested" as Andy likes to say. BTW a chest is nothing compared to a "DYVing". I am just glad Dave and I get along well. I do not want to argue with that guy.

I assume he was questioning my integrity. I assume you thought the same thing. You consider the source and laugh that one off.

I don't care whether 'he did or didn't'. Given Mark's MB personality and the overpursuit to win, I have a feeling. I don't care, it was within the rules and human nature being the guide, Mark is probably not alone in making questionable moves.

His team, his stats, and, he himself, will not change over this. Nor should they. It was the best solution to a tough problem for the NFBC. Some will take advantage. Some won't.

Anyway, looking at Mark's teams this morning, I noticed that he is at a loss for team names. He has borrowed his team names from other teams.

For fun, I thought we can re-name some of Mark's teams. Here are a couple that we can start with....

2:30! Time for My Lineup Change!

Moyer's Suppoyters

A Moyer in Hand is worth Two Padilla's in David's Bush

Sorry Mark, couldn't resist. :D

Doughboys -- you said what he did was "within the rules." No, it wasn't. Greg asked people to be honest about what they intended to do before the games started.

If Greg had said "everyone has until 2:20 PM to make any change they want," then it would have been within the rules. In that case, I would have benched Padilla as well. I own him on 3 teams.

Sorry I don't have any good chest pictures to post.

Wow, Gecko. Say it isn't so. This does not make you look good. Compromising integrity to try and help win. Something everyone has to juggle in that spot. You find out something about people in situations like that and I found out a lot about you here.

Gekko is off to quite a nice start in the NFBC this year too.

First overall in Double Play/Online

Second in Main Event Overall

Hopefully someone more deserving wins in the end. People pulling stuff like this are not good representatives to win. As he stated, has little integrity, is a liar, a coward or all of the above. Not a good spot he put himself in. Glad someone noticed. This will be something I never forget.

I guess theres no escaping them. I read on the message boards a while back that the insurance company went through everything before it paid out the 100k to Lindy. What do you think they make of this?

This will be something I never forget. listen, i presented the facts, but people didn't want to hear them. they only wanted their witch hunt. i'm done addressing the situation because of that. you guys are left with your assumptions. you want to assume the worst, go ahead. you want to assume i made the change honestly, go ahead. either way, it doesn't matter one way or the other to me. most guys want to asume the worst (human nature), but it is only speculation.

then you offer up words like "little integrity, is a liar, a coward or all of the above"? me thinks you may be looking in the mirror, but that's specualtion

I have only one question for the people questioning Gekko's choices.

How could he have known if he was going to start Padilla or not until he knew the full impact of his FA pickups?

There's a strong chance he considered it and was even toying with it, but a guy with a spring training ERA of over 5 and a historical ERA and whip like Padilla's isn't an automatic start for anyone in this contest.

Just curious, sorry to interrupt the lynching. A good mob never let stupid things like facts get in the way.

Fact is that Gekko knew he got Moyer because he started him for Pavano at 11:36.

This then changed to starting Moyer for Padilla in the email at 2:15 ET, after Padilla got hit around.

Guess Who? Auction Activate Jamie Moyer P 4/05/2010 2:30 PM ET

Guess Who? Auction Bench Vicente Padilla Bench 4/05/2010 2:30 PM ET

Guess Who? Auction Activate Jamie Moyer P 4/05/2010 11:36 AM ET

Guess Who? Auction Bench Carl Pavano Bench 4/05/2010 11:36 AM ET

Again, 11:36 he made the move he wanted and then changed his mind once the games started. He got the same player in the FAAB each run.

Nothing else should matter.
